There is no wrong way to play Survivor. We've said it for 19 seasons. Russell thought his strategic plays would win over the jury. He misinterpreted the jury, period. Natalie, however, realized the crowd she was playing to, and she did it better. I don't even think the jury was bitter. They just weren't the type to reward bad behavior. Other juries may have been. Russell's strategy lacked dynamics. He wasn't able to adapt to the people around him, so he had them voted off instead. He created enemies, not friends. Natalie, however, was able to adapt. Just as she said, when she realized the strong women were being voted off, she kept her mouth shut. Russell, on the other hand, had no regard for the social aspect of the game.

You can call Natalie whatever you like. She's got the cash, and she's got the title. And in Survivor, that makes her better than Russell.
