You're obsessed fans who post in the hundreds, if not thousands, and a survivor who clearly deserved to win the show got shafted last night.

If he "deserved" to win, he would have. He could have not been such an arrogant jerk all along the way, and gotten a few more votes. Or, he could have jettisoned Natalie at any time, knowing she would get votes for being exactly what she was. His bad gameplay made him keep her because he misread the effects of his actions = bad gameplay. Natalie knew exactly what Russell's effect on people would be, and catered her game to counter it.

Someone comes along with a legitimate, thoughtful idea to better the game or at least start the discussion about bettering the game, and all you do is bash it?

First, there is absolutely NOTHING original about the "America votes" idea. 20,000,000 reality shows a week come and go with that as part of the rules. Second, it simply is not possible to have a fair outcome. We see 3 hours a week out of 3 days of the game, and how it is presented to us is completely at the mercy of the editors. They can show someone lying around being lazy and make us hate them; they can show them being nice to someone or comforting someone's sadness, and make us love them; they can show one person being strategic over and over while ignoring the other 19 people who are similarly scheming nonstop, and we will think "Wow, nobody but ___ is doing a damn thing out there!"

But mostly, your "solution" has already been incorporated into the game, in the "America votes for $100,000" dog-and-pony show. Someone gets as much money as the runner-up, for things that really are beyond their control (i.e. editing). Maybe if I ever got on the show, I should find out if the EDITORS have a "casting couch" and win myself $100 large.
