Ann - 22 - Student/Coffee Barista

Ann: I'm a guy's girl, and if you ask anyone around me, they'll nod their heads at you and say, "Yup, Ann's a dude stuck in a skinny girl's body". I'm a drinker, I'm a gamer chick, and I'm an avid sports fan: football, baseball, basketball . . . you name it. Thing is, I'm not an alpha female, and if there's one thing I won't do with the guys, its playing sports. I swear, I'll break like a twig if I even attempt to throw a baseball or something. But I think being able to click with alpha males will make up for my lack of physical prowess.

Ariel - 27 - Civil Engineer

Ariel: In this game, having street smarts will get your further in this game than a Harvard or Princeton education will ever give you, in my opinion. I actually graduated from Columbia University, but looking back, I felt it was a waste of what short of life I've been given. Relying on my gut feeling rather than what I learned in college has actually given me a lot more success in life, and that is what I will bringing to the game of Survivor. No overly complex strategy, no research, no studying, no nothing. I'm just going to bring pure, raw instinct.

Betty - 21 - Off-Broadway Actress

Betty: I'm not going sugarcoat the fact that the acting gig is a tough business, and just because you have a beautiful face and a pretty voice doesn't mean you've got it in. You have to have passion and charisma, and that's what the game of Survivor is all about. Really, I don't care if they perceive me as the posh and polished girl who wears make-up and dresses all the time . . . because it's true. I'm an actress after all, and I promise you that I'll be Survivor's most dramatic and deceitful contestant ever.

Curtis - 33 - Aspiring Musician

Curtis: People are definitely going to see me as this weirdo, Jack Black-esque kind of guy. But man, I'm a deep, complex kind of guy. I've gone through a lot these last few years: bad break-ups, trying to make ends meet, and watching my music dream go nowhere . . . but on the flip side, I'm a dreamer and an optimist, so I don't submerge myself in my problems. Instead, I just live life a little bit more, and I think Survivor is the ultimate way to live out life to the fullest. I'll be this free spirit that everyone won't be worried about, but then I'll backstab them. . . for fun.

Dan - 24 - UPS Driver

Dan: I have no fancy college degree hanging on my wall, and frankly, I don't need it. I take a very confident approach to life, maybe even a little overconfident, and people may think I'm some smug ass, but they will trust me. Why in God's name would you want to rely on someone who is wishy-washy with themselves and what they want? You get what you want if you show people that you want it, and guess what? It got me girls, free stuff, you name it. I'm going to make it clear to these people that I want to go far, and I expect them to latch on to me.

Dennis - 24 - Basketball Coach

Dennis: I think I have a pretty good athletic resume: played linebacker in the varsity football team in high school, played basketball, water polo, and even a little bit of soccer here and there. I was really at my physical prime in high school, and even though it's been a couple years since then, I think I still got it. People think I'm gonna be a meathead jock, but I'm more than that: I'm charming, I'm funny, I'm a personable. I'm not gonna be everyone's cup-of-tea, but as long as I can make a couple of good relationships, I think I'll be solid until the endgame.

George - 55 - Author/Book Editor

George: Looking back at past seasons, I would most compare myself to Bob from Survivor: Gabon: he was a very crafty, outdoorsy, homely type of guy, and I want to bring the same environment of homeliness into this game. I think people work better and stay together when they feel like family, and my strategy is to build a tight knit family and be a very prominent father figure. I'll build the camp, build the furniture, cook the food, hunt the meat . . . even if my fellow tribesmates aren't proactive in making the camp a home, I'll do my best to compensate.

Ian - 21 - Outerwear Designer

Ian: I'm in love with the outdoors and the adventures that come with it, and that's all I wanted to do when I was a kid: go out exploring with nothing but the clothes on my back and a backpack. Of course, Survivor is on a whole different playing field, then say, a hike in the woods or a snowboarding trip, but it's still an outdoorsy-type of game, and I'm comfortable in that environment. I'm not a big fan of blatant product advertising, but I'll be wearing some of the jackets I designed . . . just to see how they fare in rough, wildlife conditions.

Joey - 43 - Sous Chef

Joey: I'm a very laidback guy. Y'know, beer in one hand, hot dog in another, lounging in front the couch . . . this game is gonna be one helluva ride for me, but I want the one million dollar prize to better the life of my wife and kids, so I'll work my ass off like a madman to get to the end . . . and win, of course. I would like to think that my shining attributes would be my persistence and my fatherly touch, but people will probably see me as this one big goofball that you just can't have the heart to get rid of.

Kate - 26 - Waitress/Mural Artist

Kate: In high school, I came out pretty early . . . around sophomore year I think, and for the most part, I've been comfortable with who I was. Sure, there was the occasional guy or two who would put me down . . . I've been called a dyke a couple of times, and yeah, I would cry, but I've had tremendous support from my family and my friends. I don't know what to expect in the game of Survivor. There's probably gonna be a few jerks who can't get past their high school douchebaggery, and they're not going to understand me. But I think I'll fit in just fine.

Katy - 27 - Product Tester

Katy: I'm a strong SoCal girl, and men are scared of strong girls who get their way all the time. I know what I want when I see it, and if I want it, I'll cut throats and step over people to get it. There's no "woulda, coulda, shoulda" about me, and if you think that makes me a bitch, then the better it is for me. I want people to see me as this physically and mentally tough-as-nails girl who won't let anyone step all over her. Just because I'm a California blonde doesn't make me stupid.

Maria - 31 - Spa Receptionist

Maria: I'm a princess . . . but I'm also a warrior. Hell, I plan of kicking some ass out here, even if I somehow enter this game wearing some frou-frou dress and a pair of stilettos. I don't plan on bringing in any intentional attitude or drama, but if you do something wrong by me, then you're gonna get this chica on fire. Otherwise, I intend on bringing on the laughs and the smiles around camp. I'm a fun girl to be around but I plan on bringing a fierce ruthless social game too . . . if it's game time, it's game time, baby.

Moss - 38 - Dairy Farmer

Moss: The southern hick is either loved or hated, but that's who I am and nothing I do is gonna change or hide it in any way. I've lived on a ranch for all my life, and it shows in the way I talk and the way I work . . . I know my manners are going to annoy some of the more modern, city kids out there, but they're gonna recognize that I work hard. When you live a simple life, you don't ask for much, and I'm not gonna ask much from them. I'm not gonna give them a reason to get rid of me. If I just lay my head down and work like a horse, plain and simple as that.

Rose - 44 - Dental Assistant

Rose: I've watched many, many, many seasons of Survivor and my entire family knows that you can't move me off the couch on a Thursday night. I love this show, and what amazes me most about this game is that anyone can succeed and come out on top as the Sole Survivor. Seriously, there have been several loudmouthed Latinas like myself who have made it to the finals and no one never expected them to make it there . . . Sandra . . . Susie . . . Oh god, I love them to death. At least I know that I can be myself and still have a fair shot at winning.

Suzie - 29 - Biochemist

Suzie: I'm a naturally shy person and meeting new people . . . let's just say it's definitely going to be awkward for me to get my foot in the door. However, for the people who I do click with, they are going to get my loyalty 100%, and that's a very valuable asset to anyone playing this game. However, perception's a powerful thing, and I really am a quiet, hard-working woman. But . . . someone's going to spin it as me being a sneaky, silent assassin or something, and I don't want false assumptions to ruin my game. I want people to know who I am.

Theresa - 42 - Senior CenterActivities Coordinator

Theresa: I'm not that old, but the younger crowd is definitely going to see me as a challenge liability. I'm pretty sure that my demise, if I should be voted off early in this game, is that people saw me as weak . . . but what I have over most of these people is that I'm a mother and they're going to find out mothers are strong. I will be a provider and a caretaker, and what I can't provide physically, I can still provide spiritually and morally. It is a ruthless game, and people will vote out their own grandma if has to come down to it, so I'll be doing a lot of guilt trips.
