I think we can safely assume that Smokey killed the guy we saw him grab. How many have seen his wrath, have seen him in destroy mode, were touched by him (it) and lived??? Well Locke did that one time, but hell he wanted to ride the monster's back down a hole so he ain't right and doesn't count.
And Ben did call Smokey out for that purpose, to kill as many soldiers as he (it) could.

Back to Ben, I thought we didn't have to see him get injured as long as it was a new injury. I mean, what if five guys stumbled from the jungle and collapsed dead as hell, but we never saw if it was Smokie or if an Other injured them or whatever. I would think those guys would be in the injured/dead even though we didn't see the cause.

The doc was alive when we last saw him and dead this time, dunno who cut his throat but he's still dead.

Sawyer - I looked hard because he damn well should have had some kind of injury. The tv I was watching wasn't that clear.. and the lighting was a bit dark to get a good look at his forehead where I thought I saw a bruise or something. *shrug*

I know the question was "how many injured in this episode" but that can be taken two ways even though some clarifications were made. It could be turned around to "while viewing this episode, how many people do we see that are injured or apparently dead"? Does that make sense? We see them dead, but not who or what did it.

I knew this would be a violent episode so I went high. It's difficult with such a high body count to nitpick over this shouldn't count and that shouldn't count. We know at least 11 and probably more than 11 were injured or dead/killed or just shown injured/dead. I know this is a lame plea for 11+ but if it counts it will help at least 3 posters, if it's 8 or 9, then I don't think anyone got it right. Could be wrong.

It's a definitely yes to climbing stairs/steps. Missed that one even though I considered it could happen. Damn.
I also missed the animal question but I think D (3) is the right answer.

I do accept B as the Smokey answer. Got that wrong, too.
