Illana is confirmed to have supposed to have been Jacob's daughter. However, they decided not to go with it for whatever reason (the scenes were shot). We can at this point assume she was an advisor/ally like Richard. As you'll recall Richard was sent off Island to do things (like test young Locke). Illana likely performed similar tasks. 3. Whatever happened, happened. The hydrogen bomb was always part of the story. It probably was the Incident itself. It's probably why a medium sized electromagnetic leak turned into a full-blown life or death push the button situation. It was misdirection, a gotcha. In my opinion it was very well executed and clever. We assumed the bomb=sideways without really having reason to believe so. Turns out they had nothing to do with each other. I don't know what you mean by time flipping. 4. Dharma was established by the Degroots, two scientists from Ann Arbor, and funded by the Hanso Foundation to study and perhaps exploit the Island's special properties. The only purge survivors I know of are Ben and Ethan. The rest of the "others" were whoever they were. That will never really be known.
