I used to love watching reruns of this show when I was a kid but now that I'm an adult I have a stronger appreciation of just how witty this show was.

NEWHART, Hi my name is Larry and this is my brother Darryl ... |

I've been watching this on the American Life channel for the last
few months. Now there showing it on WGN America on Sundays. Four
episodes per a Sunday. They just fished season one last week and are
going to start season two today(01/24/10). The first episode that's
coming on, "It Happened One Afternoon", is the episode where Stephenie
(One of my favorite characters) becomes a regular.

There has NEVER been a better series ending than Newhart's ending. EVER.

So, this is the "bed and breakfast" show, right, and not the psychologist/psychiatrist show?

Yes.
Vermont, not Chicago. Mary Frann, not Suzanne Pleshette. Peter Scolari, not Peter Bonerz. |

My favorite episode was when the place was haunted, and Larry and the Darryl's did the "git spook, git" thing. I wish I could find it on you tube.

My favorite "old" sitcom!!!! I record it every Sunday on WGN and sometimes when they have a Newhart marathon. I didn't know Joanna died

I loved the Bob Newhart show (Moo Goo Goo...such a classic bit) and the Newhart show. The ending was the best.
I watched the clip and does anyone else think that the Long Island sister in the middle (with the black hair and black dress) looks and sounds just like Lisa Kudrow? |

Loved it, even as a child I'd sit and watch the new episodes with my parents. Of course then my favorite parts were Larry, Daryl and Daryl and at the end of the credits "Sit Ubu Sit, Good Dog" with the picture of the dog and the frisbee.

I never knew that "Mimi" from the Drew Carey show was on Newhart.
(P.S. I am glad someone else remembers Moo Goo Goo Goo) |

The first one - it was in an old Victorian home, had the cool step-down living room, a cute little kitchen and Rhoda as a neighbor
Doesn't matter if she slept on a sleeper-sofa - it was glaaaaaamorous (to a ten year old) The swanky one was boring and normal |
