I feel bad for Jenni, and for Jeff, since he's in a really shitty situation, but Old Chris is a dick. Swearing on your life, on your soul, etc. and lying
through your teeth? It's been obvious for a long time that he does take advantage of Jeff, not horribly, but enough.
eta: from Jenni's Blog today: Nothing Else to SayI didn't know about the camera. I believed my husband was telling me the truth. I don't have anything else to say this week. I hope you will understand. Jenni

Jeff should beat the crap out of Chris, and then rip the blouse off Jennie, and then..

Does anyone think MAYBE Jenni's crying is for her acting reel? Like showing her range of emotions? It just seems kinda off, like she is trying to cry.
It doesn't seem 100% natural.

Could be. I am also curious about whether she is crying cos her husband is a lying sack o' shit or cos she feels violated by the nanny-cam. I couldn't
believe Chris just outright lied like that and was so adamant about it and indignant that Jeff would even think to not trust him.

The order of pain in the ass.. SOME gay men... the humorless one's. Highly neurotic, penny pinchers and ironically the one's in paying professions such as Technology etc the work you over for every dime.. and think they know more than they do. Work for Jeff.. imagine paranoid, OCD, nit pick.. HORRID The funny oldster gays great... fun to work with and pay. Just dreams. HAUSFRAUS... they read and watch way to much HGTV and somehow think they know this.. these shows neglect to provide actual material costs, labor costs or simple square footage costs.. they think because its done in 30 minutes on a show that is somehow in real life 45 to Hour without commercials... they are fucking clueless and deeply annoying. FORMER TRADESPEOPLE.. these are those in the business and think they know it... then do it fucker. DIY'ers - they are now in over their head and fucked up and you have to fix their shit and that takes more time and money but they still act like it was not their fault or they want you to do SOME of the work leave it half assed finished and they will "finish" it - it will look like shit and then somehow they blame you for it.. wipe them off referral basis. My favorite is some bitch who wanted to meet me at Home Depot to get the discount and sales tax break, I had no contract with her and I said that is fine but as I have no contract to do the work you will have to pay me my minimum 1 hour trip fee and she goes how much is that? I go 55 bucks.. she goes oh so that probably will cost me more? Yes that is right.... And hence why I moving into consulting and management.. you can just say NO... and stay out of the bullshit drama. Even Jeff figured out he can't even handle that but really that is because he is poor communicator. But that cam thing was tasteless and unnecessary.. if you treated and spoke to people in a positive and supportive manner none of that would be needed. If you don't trust someone then that is all you need to know.. just end it right there. |

We have a client who hired a contractor on the cheap then he flaked out or something. When she came to us she questioned our management fee since we were not
the ones actually physically doing the work. We came on the job, pointed out the guy before us who had no one watching over him pulled no permits, then when we
opened the walls with the city inspector to get permits and everything on the up and up we found he had run speaker wire instead of regular wire for outlets
and switches etc... After she saw that she no longer questioned our management fees.
But I agree with the HGTV people. Especially flip house shows. When they say something like "the kitchen was fully renovated including new appliances for $2500.00." Which means Home depot or Lowes gave them appliances for the show, and/or a major discount. And usually the appliances dont seem to fit correctly or have poor placement. This is one area where you can see Jeff knows what he is doing. |

Didn't anybody hear me? What the hell is wrong with you people?! |

I tend to think that she's crying, saying 'I wish he would get help'. talking about Jeff and his paranoia.
OK, old Chris is a douche bag but really, him wasting time while at work wasn't all that bad. If he was snooping, then I agree, he needs to go. |

Random Musings:
- The show aint as good this year. Seems more pathetic and sad versus comic gold. - Zoila, for some odd reason, is the shit, sorry el mierda. Loves her. - Still don't know how they stay skinny eating all that shit. My gut is that they eat one meal a day. Jeff alluded to this. - 35 Feces. Great name for a band. - The Housewife - for some reason, I want to punch her. Her husband is a producer? My gut is she's a wannabe actress. Encino ain't exactly the right side of the tracks for a high faluttin' movie producer no? - The shower door - they never followed up. was is the plumber? not unlikely that a plumber would be doing work in a SHOWER. I would venture to say the glass was installed incorrectly or bad design (door edge hitting glass panel at corner). - The 'assistants' - Jenni is the only one with a real job. The Chris's are pathetic fucknuts. Sure, if you are a struggling actor, this a way to get on TV, but Jesus, grow up and be a man. Probably better than waiting tables. My gut is that the Chris/Jenni thing is all an act. That is, that Jenni is/was Jeff's assistant and they are all friends. When the show was created, the positions of 'house assistants' were created and Chris is simply playing a character on a tv show. He still looks like the offspring of Johnny Knoxville and Corky from Life Goes On - only the baby (Chris) came out more retarded and wearing an ipod. The key to being funny is to actually be funny. - Jeff's shoes - they bug. For a ghey dude who is so meticulous, I'd expect cooler, funkier more fabulous shoes ala Ryan or Kenneth Brown on HGTV. Jeff is always wearing nice button up sportshirts, blazers, hipster jeans and funky new balance shoes or chuck taylors. Yeah, its a funky look, but that sort of outfit should have you sporting some cool pointy leather loafer or sumthin' I don't know, I just dont find it as enjoyable this season. |

I'm enjoying it just as much this season, except for the episode before this one.
I don't mind that Chris was wasting time. Well, I do, but a lot of employees do it, so whatev. Heck, there'd be like five posts at this board per day without the working people that post here. What bothers me more was his bold-faced lying to Jeff. He swore on his parents???? And thanks, MWF, for the new thread title. |

Love the title NTA
The only thing about this season is I am not sure if some of the stuff is....not necessarily scripted per se, but...massaged. The flip outs last season felt more genuine. This season I am not so sure. |

---The Encino property...the wife annoys the HECK out of me, and I love it when Jeff picks at her. So annoying
---Zoila = God end of story. ---I like Jenni. ---Waits for Chris to be fired permanently this season. ---I liked the first season better so far, but I'm not giving up. I hope it doesn't get too more dramatic with the nanny cam (waits for the next episode). ---35 Feces <3 rofl |

I love it when Jeff says, "the first 7 times I fired Chris..." He says it so nonchalantly. Like it's completely normal to fire an employee 7
times and keep hiring them back.
I love Jeff. |

Page 4????
I am enjoying this season more, because there is more drama and I am enjoying watching Jeff as he tries to reform himself and be more aware -- even though I personally think he's fine the way he is. He is not so OCD that it is preventing him from functioning in life, it actually works to his advantage, because he is such a perfectionist. If he were to ever change coasts, I would love to have him assist me with my house. I am super detail-oriented and have found it's better to do things myself than have someone half-ass their way through something with irritating mistakes. Unfortunately, my skills only go so far though and I have to live with irritating mistakes of trim not matching up squarely or uneven painting, etc. Jeff needs to get his OCD ass to my house stat and browbeat the contractors until near perfection is achieved!! Another reason I am enjoying this season more is that each epi leaves me wanting next week to hurry up and get here so I can see what the result is. Actual cliffhangers this season. I really feel bad for Jeff, as you can tell he really didn't want to install the nanny cam, but he was at his wit's end. It is a shame that he has gotten himself into this situation where his employees are friends and tenants. With the right people, you can be really close friends with your employees. Unfortunately, if you have losers like Chris working for you, it's a disaster. Chris annoys me to no end. He is a lazy, inconsiderate, immature idiot. Jeff is his boss! Jeff pays his wages! If Chris doesn't like the job description, he should quit. It disgusts me when people take advantage of situations and have no pride in the job they do and no work ethic. Chris probably gets paid more than poor Zoila and Zoila works her butt off. He's a total jackass and I hope Jeff fires him once and for all and forever. I feel for Jenni, but how does she not realize what a loser Chris is? He is like a 12 year old. Jenni needs to wake up and realize there is better out there. I hope Jenni forgives Jeff and understands how hard it was for him to do what he did. What I would like to see this season is Chris to get canned for good and Jenni to kick him out of the bungalow and file for divorce. Then FF to the "After-the-Finale" reunion and we get to see "where are they now" footage of Chris working in a burger joint getting reamed by his 22-year-old boss for being an incompetent idiot and relegated to garbage and cleanup duty and living in a studio apartment with 3 other losers. Can you tell I can't stand Chris? Loving more outspoken Zoila this season. Jenni has made big improvements over last season as well and turned into a good assistant. New Chris is a non-entity, but he is the only Chris actually working for Jeff so good for him. Jeff and the deer was really cute, too. |

NiceToAnimals wrote: Exactly! the lying, flat out denial part was what really bothered me; I hate liars, and when I ask someone to tell me the truth, I always tell them that if they're going to lie to me, they better be really, really good, and that I better not ever find out they lied. I have a feeling that part bothers Jeff more than the slacking off (well, if none of this is scripted). The goofing off stuff is annoying to an employer, especially one like Jeff, but I think the worse part of it was that the pets were neglected somewhat as a
result, which would be a big deal to me. Someone mentioned earlier about the dogs not being let out when they had to go...that would piss me off, AND allowing
them to rough-play is another big no-no to me...I don't think they ever showed Jeff discussing it, but I'm sure one of the dogs limping around added to
his suspicion.
