ABC lands Jagger for a sitcom, develops the show around him, puts him in its recent promotional spots, and then changes the name of the show from Let's Rob Mick Jagger to The King of Queens, oops The Knights of Prosperity? Fucking wusses. And this from the network that two years ago was giving us some cutting edge programming. This show's now doomed to fail, but looks to be fun to watch while the initial vision was intact. ETA for those that couldn't figure out what's going on from the des.cription above: it'll be an Ocean's Eleven meets the Keystone Kops caper, with Sir Michael's digs as the target. and a title edit. 2nd & final title edit.

Posts: 7394 (12/26/06 11:52 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Apparently Mick Jagger won't be in all the episodes, and eventualy the show may be about robbing other celebrities, so that might be why they nixed the title. In fact Howard Stern says at one point they approached him and asked him to be the famous person who gets robbed, and he turned it down because he didn't want to give any nuts crazy ideas.

Also, before Howard Stern (which is news to me), it was going to be called "Lets Rob...Jeff Goldblum." As for how I've seen the pilot - it leaked months ago. I think I laughed once during the entire thing, it was just plain dumb.

Although it didn't help the last show she was in, Hot Properties, which didn't make it past the first 13 episodes. But I'll always watch anything she is on.

Remove this ad Bah, well, assuming this is an American idea, I just think that this would be done better as Britcom because at least they have the balls to do something crazy and yet welldone with their celebrities. This could be like Extras in which The Office's Ricky Gervais does these bitingly funny sitcoms with famous people in them. Usually he is an extra on a set or at bars but sometime he's auditioning and he has these odd encounters with celebrities. Every week should be another caper, or perhaps a multi-part caper but give the celeb lots of room to adlib and make them as big a part as the rest of the cast... maybe they could try to rob Michael Caine and get Italian Jobbed and find out he is as devious as his movie characters. But before I get too far, i haven't watched the show so it MIGHT be like that! I wish they got an A++ funnyman with pull in Hollywood to do this he could get good guest stars to rob and help writing really sharp satire but instead we get a bunch of losers nobody heard of, oh well.

I might be wrong but I think this is on at 9 on Wed. and that other 'comedy' if you want to call it that is on afterwards. AI is on at 9 on Wed. usually for a half hour so no one will be watching KOP except maybe me and a few others. At least give this show a chance ABC. Ugh..the comedy afterwards looks like real shit.

Why the hell are they telling everyone of their plan? The main guy, Donal Logue, is playing a really dumb guy and I'm not buying it.... the whole thing is just a haphazard mesh of half-thought out ideas... there are more holes in the plot than a fishnet... I think they should've kept Help Me Help You on if they're going to give crap like this a chance.

I don't expect any new sitcom to be perfect, but this one was very interesting and has a premise that can last. The actors are terrific, that dude playing Rochester turned every single line he spoke into a LOL moment. At least it isn't another lame workplace comedy or a show about a fat ugly guy with a hot wife. I put it on my Tivo immediately and plan on telling friends to watch the re-run on Friday (as should anyone reading this). Will it be able to survive opposite "Idol?" Let's hope ABC moves it. As for its companion piece "In Case of Emergency..." um, no thanks.

It wasn't amazing nor was it LOL funny bit it was cute and had it's moments and I am going to tune in next week. I liked the whole key sequence where they were actually on the move going through w/ the plan and then at the end when it was shown that their key? Not going to get the job done. If this show lasts, will they (try to?) rob a new celeb each season? I must have missed something b/c why was their headquarters in that abandoned Jewish place? How did they find that place and why was no one there?
