Well if this show follows precedence then Zach from Vancouver should be the winner. That is the 2 previous Mark Burnett world talent search competitions were both won by Canadians.
NO WONDER he is not opening Survivor to Canadians..;) (tongue in cheek!) Go ZACH! Homeboy from Vancouver. Found him as Zach65 on youtube.. he has some fun stuff. |

Not sure if this has been posted (only checked back a few posts), but I was looking at my record list on my DVR and there is an ep on Monday that is two hours. It's description is "The 18 finalists present their short films". Hopefully we will be able to see everyone's films.
Then it is on Tuesday for an hour Jeebus, messing around with the schedule so much is not going to help this show. |

I really really really really hope and think this show will be amazing once it gets down to 18.I think the problem is that Mark doesn't really know how to edit and large cast, and the way they've done it is just awkward.
Had they started with 18 and done these three challenges as the first 3 eliminations, and then went live with either 15 or 12, it probably would have worked better. |

Watch On The Lot On Fox!
Tuesday from 9:05 to 10:00! No. Wait. Thursdays from 9:25 to 10:00! Just kidding! It's on Mondays at 8:00. No. We lied. It's on Tuesday at 9. (Two weeks later) "We were surprised and saddened On The Lot never found an audience" said entertainment president Aldoph Murdoch after the cancelation announcement. |

it is too bad if this show doesn't find an audience. i just watched the first two episodes on the fox website, and they're pretty good!

Just saw the episodes. Talk about bad pitching. I'm convinced us Sucksters can come up with better pitches with our 5-word game threads.

Looks like this is on tonight at 8pm EST. What is this show's timeslot anyway? It's never been on the same night twice yet. Are they going to have it on Friday next? Who knows. They don't even advertise these moves. I hope On the Lot doesn't fail because I can't wait until we get down to the actual competition where the directors have to make certain genres. I'm awaiting Thriller week, and I'd hate for this show to fall into obscurity before it reaches that point.

I think that actually starts tonight cause on the guide it says tomorrow that 3 of them go. So i'm guessing in the first hour they get down to 15, second hour is the first movie showing. we vote tonight and 3 get booted tomorrow.
I'm actually looking forward to it. |

It does sound like each of the final 18 will show an individual film instead of in teams, like it will be once it hits 15. If that is the case, then I really can't see a big audience sticking around for 2 hours to watch the same topic/theme done in a film 18 different times.
I really hope Burnett's Pirates does better in the ratings, which I'm sure it will. |

New host.
Adam's "Dance Man" - I liked it. A bit cheesy, but I found it funny. I'll keep my eye on him. Carolina's "Deliver Me" - OK, WTF? It was alright, but it would've helped if it made more sense. Andrew's "Spaced Out" - Not bad. The drunk driving alien twist was decent. Not terrific, but a decent movie from a capable guy. Kenny's "Wack Alley Cab" - I love random humor, but that was too random even for me. Too over the top, actually. Can't wait for that douche to go, unless he gets VFTW treatment. Hilary's "Bus #1" - Meh, not too exciting. Marty's "The Big Bad Heist" - Decent trailer for a low-budget robbery-comedy lookalike. Can't go wrong with ninjas, I guess. Will's "Lucky Penny" - Nothing too deep, and the special effects were kinda underwhelming, but nice for some shallow laughs. Jessica's "To Screw in a Lightbulb" - WTF? More random humor, but this time I kinda liked it. Then again, I'm probably biased because I find her hot. Mateen's "Soft" - Sound quality sucks. Good twist at the very end, though. One of the better ones this episode. Claudia's "Blind Date" - WTF. Oh Italian humor. Another nonsensical piece with uncreative fart jokes. An overall meh. Jason's "Getta Rhoom" - Kinda cruel, almost in poor taste, but I still enjoy cheap laughs. David's "File Size" - Not bad. Decent office rage flick. Not much else to say about it. Zach's "Danger Zone" - Give this guy the job already. He's already leagues above everyone else. Between this and Rock Star, this is why MB doesn't let Canadians on Survivor. Trever's "A Golf Story" - Huh? Had potential, but the execution of the punchline confused me. Alright, though. Shalini's "Love in the Year 2007" - Not bad. Probably the best of the women's films. She has some potential. Phil's "Please Hold" - The joke kinda fell flat to me. Yet another overall mediocre movie, surprise surprise. Shira-Lee's "Check Out" - Good twist at the end. Simple, but it worked. Sam's "Replication Theory" - One of the better ones, even though it was yet another farting movie. The kind of thing you'd see in commercials, except actually funny. Overall a bunch of these are pretty mediocre, probably because of A) the time limits and B) many of these directors being outside their genre. There were more good movies than bad at least, and there is some potential in this cast. Not the strongest episode, but there's some talent in this cast. |

No I guess they never aired the one prior to this one, where they had to direct a page in an hour.
I liked the first film a lot, the second one not as much. |

I'm lost too. Oh well....
Are the judges going to kiss everyone's ass? I have yet to see anything remotely decent. |

This show will officially go down the tubes now. |

Yeah, I feel like they totally just gave up on the intro episodes and went straight to the film screenings.
That 2nd film had a cool look, but horrible story. |

Andrew's was pretty funny. Definetely didn't see that concept coming. Seemed like something they would do in a commercial.
Kenny-WTF? |
