I finally got around to watching the finale. For once, I think America got the eliminations DEAD on. Adam/Ron G were down right awful all the time. I think Sean was funny on the show but his sets were awful, and his finale one was AWFUL.

It's amazing how subjective comedy is, probably the most subjective of all things entertainment wise. I went to several boards and everyone's preferences are all over the mark.

Marcus: I think he was just okay tonight. He'll probably be 4th/5th because he went early on and his set wasn't very memorable. I do give him props for doing the joke about not understanding the lyrics. I completely LOL'd at that and that's something I can totally relate too.

Jim: He's in the same boat as Sean, he's funny on the show but his sets are lame. I think most of it's a cultural difference, what's funny in the US isn't the same as in the UK. I think his set was just a mixture of lame to ho hum jokes. I think he'll be in the 5th/4th range.

Louis: I really didn't know much about him till he finally got to show his stuff last week, and he was easily the funniest. This week however I don't know what happened. It seemed like he was really trying to work the patriots of America and redneck demographic. It really didn't work well and I don't think his set was anywhere near his amazing set last week. I really feel he dropped the ball. My issue with him is that he's no different then the average black guy in comedy. He's funny but there is nothing special about him, hence why all these years into his career he's not famous. He seems to have a lot of random fans so he'll place around 3rd, I don't think he inspired anyone to pick up the phone.

Jeff: He has impressed me the most since the finals. He has actually been funny and I didn't think he was even that great before. I really LOL'd at the Guess Who? joke. It was a bit prolonged but it was funny. The technology joke was a safe but really funny joke. He's also cute and out of all the people who haven't had OTT exposure (which is everyone but Iliza) he has stood out the most. I think he could place as high as 2nd.

Iliza: It's basically obvious she's going to win and I will tell you why. She's a woman. After five seasons I think the show is desperate for a female winner so they don't have to play up the tired female underdog storyline every year. Last year they really pushed hard for Amy to win, but her sets were really just dull and she did seize the huge momentum she had going into the live shows. I also think she'll win because she's had the most exposure by far. She's been in two eliminations already which nobody has done. Cuz of that, she's had an hour both episodes where she was the main focal point, which nobody else has had. Also the episode before this focused on Iliza and the guys trying to plot against her. On the comedy side, she has the most mainstream comedy which is very good for the demographic that watches the show. Oregon Trail, Beer Pong/Quarters, Bitch slut skank whore, sports, "<3" and the list goes on and on. I also think her look (aka huge boobs) really help too. Overall in the finale she was solid but it wasn't her best. However, since this isn't a single elimination until the final 2 where the winner is picked, I think she'll win from the momentum she had going into the finale. Her jokes are solid and I think she has respect for not reusing material and having bigger balls than anyone there.

I think Iliza will continue the theme that basically all the NBC have had this year, a female winning on a male dominated show (Biggest Loser/Nashville Star).
