No surprises on who got the boot tonight. The surprise for me was the ones I thought would suck the worst were actually quite good. Sean was great, Tere didn't make me cringe, Liked Geoff for a change, and Ant was quite good. Only Dat didn't let me down and sucked arse - exact same bits as last year. I think Corey or Jay could be gone and probably Tere but hopefully Dat from the other side.
I think season 1 will get the cash from tonight. I was really dissapointed in Gary, Corey, and Kathleen. They seemed pretty flat IMO. |

See, I enjoyed Ant, Kathleen and Corey last night. Gary was kinda off, and well Jay's schtick is old.

Tere always had great energy. This time around it is simply competitions, right? No psychological in house game to wear on a person's self confidence. When you have people like Cory, Tess, Dave, Ralphie and Vos all against you, it can be a bit imposing. Last night she was more confident, had great timing, and was infectious. She didn't come across as clunky and flat like last year. She should have known she was in trouble when the only person in her corner was Dat, and even he could only take her in doses. This time she was completely unfettered, and it showed. I thought she really connected with the audience and she killed.
House 2 was smart to put the "A list" on first to compete against each other. Aw Cory K, I am shedding a tear....yeah right. Sean looked stronger. Gary..omg he is getting more monstrous and duller by the minute. Shut up already. Have fun for crissakes. His Todd codependence is showing.  Corey is spontaneously funny. He and Todd are funnier outside their routines, although Todd cracked my shit up.Tammy is starting to scare me a bit. If she doesn't win, is her dad gonna take a hit out on Jay? |

They need to change the format or people are going to stop watching quickly. Its hard to imagine the comedians from LCS2 not winning $50,000 every episode going forward if the vote-off results from last nights show are any indication. I hate to say it but I miss the interactions for the comedians in the house and their confessionals. There was more humor in those bits than there was on stage last night. |

I wasn't too disappointed with the outcome. Although I would have rathered Tess go over Corey, as long as Dave and Vos are safe then im happy. The fact that season 2 won the money over season 1 is a very bad sign. That leads me to believe most of the people watching never saw season 1 and it will go like this the entire season. If Ralphie's father dieing and the two best comics of the season can't outdo what season 2 had to offer then nothing will. I didn't really see all the performances yet since I was watching Big Brother. I voted for Jay anyway but i'll reserve judgment till I watch the tape.

I saw it just not everything completely. I missed a few performances. I didn't see Cantrell, Ant or Kathleen. I saw the rest though. Im not saying season 1 will be robbed even though I do think they are the better bunch. But if they didn't win on the first night I can't see them having any better shot then that.

You voted for Jay just like me... well I voted for him on the two phones in my house... and twice online... and then i threw my last vote for Kathleen... I love those two... But I was frikken pissed off that Cory Kahaney was voted off... I have actually exchanged a couple of emails with Cory herself... so I have somewhat of a bias for her... And her comedy is pure funny... I wasnt sad to see Jessica Kirson go... I didn't care much for the newbie... although I threw her a vote so that season two would get the 50K. I'm just happy to see my strangely sexy Jay and his schtick... Made my evening of cleaning the apartment that I just moved out of... SO MUCH BETTER! |

LCS2 might be fresher in people's minds but the comedians are funnier (IMHO) and more experienced overall than those from LCS1 so its going to be even tougher for them to be beaten. Rob and Dat were new to the business last year and I don't think Tere or Sean had been around that long either.
During the end credits Mordall said something along the lines of "Remember when voiting, its not a popularity contest. [pause] On second thought, yes it is." He knows what's going on. |

People are suggesting the different seasons have a say who they send up. You pic the opposite season's victims. So it was no genius of season 1 to send all their heavy hitters on one night but rather good strategy of season 2 (one strong comedian gone). I loved Vos and Mordahl in season 1 but I have to admitt that if Monday was the first time I would have seen them I would have been neutral. Much of their charm was their antics off the stage. I think they each got a lot of votes from those of us who remember what they can do and not what they actually did. I hope it goes better next week.

Yeah I mean why do you think Dat and Heffron won LCS/// Not because they are the funniest... but because they had some type of personality that people enjoyed... I loved Dat but I dont like Heffron... so i vote for others that have better personalities

Of the comics yesterday, I really only liked Kathleen, Geoff and Ant. I just realized that Tere and Jay are similiar in their comedic style.

I live to see a Dave Mordal/John Hefferon showdown It's a win-win for me. Both, IMHO, are a funnier Dennis Miller without the obscure refernces, but still make you think with a "joke grenade"
