Oh, I remember Ben. He wasn't the college champ, but he was pulling in really good scores for the games he was on. Glad to hear he's a semi-finalist
now.

I freaked when I saw Ben was playing. I LOVED him and he had a great run. So adorable and is actually charming. His annecdote was cute. :) Glad he won his
round.

What's with those traveling morons asking questions?
They're lame as hell. Anyway, here's more Larissa. http://grad.berkeley.edu/spotlight/kelly.shtml

Ben is a machine. I don't usually "root" for people on Jeopardy but I love Ben.

Also, absolutely epic fail in footnote 13: 13 In the category Annual Sporting Events, the clue was "With an estimated sellout crowd of 267,925, it claims to be the best-attended single-day sporting event in the U.S." Contestant Steve Frappier tried "What is the Daytona 500?" That was Pat's guess, too. Alison Becker, a researcher from Los Angeles, came up with the right one: "What is the Rose Bowl?"One would think that if they're going to poke fun at the guy who beat precious Larissa losing on a sports question to a woman in FJ the next day, they'd want to get the fucking facts straight and point out that Indy 500 was the actual correct answer, and that Rose Bowl was not right either. Jesus. I don't know why this pisses me off, but it does. And I'm on the Ben train for the ToC.

I like Larissa, but she still gives off that "Bride of Chucky" vibe... |

I think that's the whole thing about her that makes her intriguing. She seems like a sweet angel. However, I still wonder how she's like in bed. She
probably has whips, chains, handcuffs, you name it! I also wouldn't doubt that she's an axe murder. Kinda hot if you ask me.

I was pleasantly surprised for the little Donnapwnage that we got in the later part of the match, but I knew that Aaron would win. That like that's a bad
thing or anything. This tournament in general is turning out quite nicely. :)

The champ certainly knows his lakes.
I can't believe all three of them whiffed on Mitterand. They let that Rose Bowl question stand? This from wikipedia: Capacity 91,136 - UCLA Bruins Football 92,542 - Rose Bowl Game How is that they can credibly posit 250K+ people in a stadium? Even the largest NFL stadiums seat under 100K. So when do the semifinalists start facing off against each other? |

Piranhahaha wrote:Jeopardy didn't let the Rose Bowl question stand (I remember watching that FJ live and the answer was very clearly Indy 500), however the schmucks writing that article seemed to figure Rose Bowl was the correct answer just because the woman gave that as her answer and she conveniently beat the devil who had ended precious Larissa's run the previous day. And apparently a guy losing to a woman on a sports question in his next game, who in his game against Larissa swept a category about football, is just so noteworthy. :roll |

I was soooo glad that boring Jim in the middle did so horribly. Ending up with $1,000 must be embarrassing for him--yay!
I'm a little worried though that the guy who did win will be stiff competition for Larissa. |
