Does anybody know for certain how much time they've spent alone in the pods?

They've been getting shaving materials / can spongebath them out of a bowl.
#1 was definitely the best competitor |

I miss #1
#3 annoys me - the two guys have interesting story arcs while the girl's just a typical vanilla famewhore who's only on the show to be on TV not because she wants to play a game. If she wins the next immunities, it'll be an "undeserved" Jenna Morasca style win (except I liked JennaM). |

I don't know, I think whoever wins deserves it, no matter how much we like them. You simply can't get through these treatments unless you tough it out better than the others. There's no gray area (so far). And I like that #3 admitted she was there to be on TV. I think that's secretly everyones reason for being there, they just don't want to admit it.

You are SO right about that. At least #3 admitted she was just a reality tv fame whore.
I can respect that. |

Re: Solitary | ||

I wonder, too, about the motivation of anyone who would put themselves through this.
I sense that each has personal demons to exorcise -- note #5's divorce and #7's insecurity. Perhaps #3 views this the same way, but glibly covered it with a "way to get on TV." Yup. Fox Reality Channel. That's TV awright. The poor Canookian girl's having issues getting on TV upon arrival in L.A. That's a demon that's destroyed many before her. |

Tonight's treatment:
They make the Final 3 watch an endless loop of crappy reality shows until one of them finally breaks. |

Quote: I couldn't figure out who she reminded me of until you said this. Man, do I wish Number 1 could come back in a twist and win. I want her back THAT bad. Why do I hate the black guy?!! He just seems so theatrical, as if he's forcing himself to be loud and crazy. Idk, he just seems so over the top in his responses to Val and the comps. Hurray for #7. I've always like him. Hopefully the F2 is him and #3. Why is it so funny that I don't know any names other than their numbers. Is so weird. I love Solitary. I think it's such an innovative idea, and it actually worked out imho. One of the best reality shows that I've seen. I actually put this up there with Big Brother and Survivor. I even watch the re-runs sometimes if they happen to be on. |

God DAMMIT! Number 1 was ROBBBBBBBBBBBED!
1 WAS ROBBED! I hope 3 bombs and then I guess 5 takes it all. (Unless there's a super secret twist where 1 comes back and wins) |

Besides the endless amount of repeats on FRC, it's great. Was #1 on Reality Remix, and if so can anyone give my a recap?

Yeah, at 3:43 PM, they go to commercial and the damn commercial SPOILS it!!! I couldn't believe that. Great production people they have there.
Anyway, #7 was my LEAST favorite person in the whole game, I hated his break dancing too. I was hoping #5 would pull it out, but with his endless whining and moaning (even more than usual), it seemed clear he wouldn't be able to handle it. It's almost like he psyched himself out of it. I would have stayed in that thing for 36 hours, and peed myself if I had to. You don't get that close to $50,000 and let it go so easily. |

Ah well, hell I would never do this for less than $250,000.

I don't know, but they'll probably bring it up on RR or on the Solitary reunion.

Re: finale | ||

I just finished watching the finale -- wow, just wow.
I agree with the sentiments placing this show in Survivor/TAR land. Excellent show from start to finish. But if you want to talk about somebody getting robbed, it was #5 -- the guy had to be twice the size of #7 yet they were in the same sized box. Of course he was going to lose that one. Poor guy, I know he was all about the drama, but you got to remember there was no audience to hear him -- he was simply talking to himself. I really like him, and look forward to seeing him on the Reunion next week. I also loved my summer girlfriend, #3, or Taralee. She must have lost her edge during her final treatment -- she almost always came up with a novel approach to the treatments, yet this time played Val's game and ran around in circles until her feet cost her the game. Nice effort from an unexpected source. #7: as slimey as always, if not moreso at the end. You have to give him credit -- I didn't realize he'd never quit a treatment -- but you also have to laugh when Val just left him stuck in the box. Oh well, terrific show. Except for the spoiler commercial, which I ffw'd through, bravo FRC. |

Man...I really wish they'd keep him in the box until he quit. (According to wikipedia they let him out after a few minutes.) He never quit a test, ever. Not even in the final.
I wonder how long he could have lasted. I also wish his vitriol towards his competitors would have bit him in the end. That's the only form of growth that he really needed. He started out the cruelest, and never ended...I AM A TEACHER AND I WILL SCHOOL YOU, NUMBER FIVE!!!! All behind the bible... Great TV, nonetheless, and I hope it becomes an in season replacement on fox or fx. |

Wow - a reality show where the most consistently strong contestant actually won.
That said, #7 was lucky the way the challenges went - he wasn't hefty, which hurt some of the guys (#5 and the Romanian writer), but he had a male stomach (which hurt #1 and crazy beautician). If there were more strength-related challenges, like the run (which he didn't even have to do), it'd be interesting to see how much longer he could last. I figured this would only work as a one season show, but as long as they come up with a couple of new treatments, I'm looking forward to another one (with less gross food/vomitting): I was hoping for a challenge like Survivor Thailand's Final endurance test but it never came. |
