I think the season 2 voice was better then the season 1 voice. I predict the season 3 voice will be the same as the season 2 voice since they redubbed season
1 with the season 2 voice.

Yes, I remember seeing a season 1 rerun at some point with Val's old computerized snarky voice replaced by the more maternal female voice.
I always thought that was a mistake. As a matter of fact, Val is underused for messing with these people. |

During the 16 hour Solitary marathon on 11/30/08, all season 1 episodes had the new VAL voice which I personally prefer. The season 1 voice sounded like a cheesy 16 year old male gamer playing with his TI-99 voice synthesizer. Nomii: It only says "intially" sharing. Then it says "Subjects will only be reassigned to their own pods once a grueling challenge has been completed and they have earned the right to be there." |

Hell Yeah!!!! New Solitary v3.0 website is up. Not much content yet, but it's pretty cool. The Episode Guide link has: "Episode 1 - Battle of the Pods (Premieres Jan 17th, '09)
The home page mentions 10 guests for this season. There are also links to Seasons 1 and 2. The Season 2 link looks the same as before, but they really jazzed up the Season 1 link. Check it out at:
I wonder if they will have a Road to Solitary episode like in the previous two seasons. If so, I wonder if they will air it on Jan 10. But if they did,
wouldn't that be the premier? I don't recall how they marketed the premier for the last two seasons. Was the Road to Solitary the premier or was the
first episode the premier?

Whoa, it looks like FRC got serious about the website! I love the countdown timer. I wonder if the pod cams are going to have extra footage? Maybe even a
Big Brother type deal? Dayum I'd totally buy those feeds.
There's also a flash game, too, but I can't get it to do anything. Note how it says 10 guests will compete, but there're only 9 pods. I guess No. 10 gets bounced as part of this podshare thing? |

When you say flash game, are you talking about the "Enter your Pod" link? That just gives you a 360 view of the pod. When you click the directional arrows in the bottom right, it rotates around the pod. |

Yes, but I can't imagine that it's just a 360 of a pod. Those knobs and buttons I bet one day turn functional and do something when you click on them.
I'm betting it'll be some sort of a game eventually.

Hey RobRob, Thanks for the link to the website. It kicks ass. I'm going to have the countdown timer up until the first episode airs. That would be cool if the virtual pod turned into a game or something, but I'm not sure what the game would be. Maybe you keep spinning the pod around
until you vomit and then you push the red button.

My DVR shows that two old episodes of Solitary will be shown at 8 and 9pm CST next Monday. However, The FoxReality.com schedule does not show this. Let's
all pray that there will be some kind of Solitary 3.0 promos during the episodes. Based on the vagueness of the DVR descriptions it looks like they will be
Season 1 episodes.
If there is a Road to Solitary 3.0 on January 10th, then we only have 32 days, 19 hours, and 47 minutes before we get some Solitary satisfaction. :-) |
