While living in a fraternity house -- same type of group setting, just a few years younger than the Chef F5 -- we teased, wrestled, even held down brothers to do various sophomoric things ... shave chest, tweak eyebrow hairs (ouch), tart up like Mimi on Drew Carey, fart in face, force to look at gross porn. Yeh, quite immature. All were usually alcohol or pledge hazing induced, but they were not that uncommon. But if you choose to join a fraternity, you are implicitly agreeing to moronic hijinks like that. Nobody who signs on to compete to see who is the best CHEF should have to worry about getting his head shaved. It's a totally different setting and situation.

He signed up for a cooking competiton not "America's Next Top Frat Jerk" He didn't "bring it on himself" in any way shape or form. The hosts have all said how unprofessional they were and how ashamed they should be. There was no place for that on that show.

Yes, I do agree that Marcel has perfected the art of instigating conflict and then standing back and miming, "Who me?" while others take the fall. He is supremely manipulative. However, I do think that physical conflict is a lower form. The other contestants were stooges to let Marcel manipulate them. But then there's Mike who was brilliant in his "I forgot the fish" play on Marcel. That was a better suited retort to Marcel's brand of conflict.

Why don't you tell them what you didn't like about it rather than being such a complete and total asshole drama queen.

I wish she were a judge on Iron Chef America (instead of, for example, the "Producers" actress or Soledad O'Brien or [insert name of any other female not actually in the food industry]).
