Did anyone watch this new show on USA last night? It's a 5 week series (could turn into long running one if the ratings are good) about 4400 people who have disappeared over the last 50-60 years who all suddenly return one day not knowing they even disappeared. The FBI guy is also in Taken as a top Army guy. I hope the show continues past the first few episodes too.

They really only got us into a few of the storylines of the people, so unless they were going to introduce a new person or 2 every show, it wouldnt work well.

Well, they only have 4400 people to work with. But I agree, it would get boring if it was always the little girl or creepy Michael Moriarty who looks like he's already dead.

It does seem a little thin on characters if they plan to make a series out of it. The only part the really bothered me is the 'mom' Lily. The writers' logic was out of whack with itself. Ummm, if we take their bent on reality, these people are being treated as if they've been removed against their will from their lives for X years. If that's the case there is no way Lily's husband could keep her out of their daughter's life. She has easy rights to a good amount of visitation without even trying. And, if these homeland security folks are 'helping' her, I think they would be prepared to deal with custody issues. Besides, many eager lawyers, wanting to be involved in a precedent creating case would be swarming all over her and the insurance guy. Look at all the guantanamo folks with lawyers. Lawyers love this stuff, there's always someone who wants to get involved. Lily should also be eligible to sue him for child support for the child she's carrying - provided it is his - something that remains to be seen. And why aren't the doctor's freaked about that one?!?!? The logic is uneven. The show the news cameras all over the story. They even show the 4,400 with free access to the news media, yet we are expected to believe they can keep the wacko insurance guy's situation 'quiet'. How 'cum there aren't 10 reporters following each returnee around. I'm imaging Katie Curic and Barbara Walters running down each and every 'heart wrenching' sob story. Still there's promise. I've put it on TiVo.

I finally watched my tivo of this show last night and made the decision to watch the rest of the following episodes. A bit of trivia, the lady playing Lilly, the mom who was pushed away from her daughter by her ass of a husband who has remarried, used to play Brooke's daughter Laura on All My Children. I am glad she has a bit more substance in this role because her other role was so pathetic, I blamed it on her acting. Since watching her on this, I think it was the writing on AMC instead. I thought they handled the race issue with the korean vet pretty cool. THey probably could have played it up more. Can you imagine that time warp, coming back from a time of almost 15 years before the civil rights bill of 64 to our society today?

Guess they will have a story a week such as the vigilante guy. The autopsy will hopefully show something . And that woman is going to take home the little girl. Bad idea. Will the boy cure his cousin? Healed the girl's hand. ROSWELL!

There are only 3 or 4 more shows left. The vigilante who thought he was indestructable was good. He didnt think he changed anything, but then you saw everyone cleaning.

Moriarty to stop the insurance guy from defrauding all of those people. Vigilante guy to bring the people of the neighborhood back together. Nephew to perhaps bring his cuz out of the coma. ???

I was watching last night and saw the empty bed, then my daughter pitched a fit because her polly pocket wouldn't fit into its car. So I missed it. I am really not liking the story line of the pregnant one, who is missing out on her daughter's life because the father has connections. Sorry- but if that was my child I would do whatever possible to see them... not let them have a restraining order against me. Is the baby an alien??? I like this show - can't wait for the next one.

They said if it builds back up ... not good. Was it caused by his cousin touching him? I agree about the restraining order. I would move heaven and earth to see my child. I'd go to the press, a lawyer, anybody who would listen. They keep showing the dad as the bad guy and he is, but what about his new wife? 12 years and they haven't bothered to tell the child about her birth mother?!?! Selfish.

I am thinking that the pregnant mom(Lily) will end up with some type of seeing past occurances if they were of evil or bad incidents. I think the show was forshadowing it to us by the red twisted images she was seeing. And maybe her ex abuses her daughter, so that is why she saw the red around them when she was peering in the window. I am still waiting to see what type of super natural power that the black guy will have. I like that they all have type of special power that they are just discovering slowly. The whole story might be coming along slowly but I like all the characters so far.
