Kyle was supposed to be abducted, brought to the future, and enhanced so he could serve as the liaison between the future and the present...Especially between the future and Tom (his father) who is supposed to assist the 4400 in keeping the Oblivion from coming to fruition. However, Shawn went and done fucked things up by trying to save Kyle. Instead, Shawn got abducted... Where things went from there...I got kinda fuzzy. Shawn reinvigorated Kyle...who wasn't Kyle, but was the Kyle from the future (I think.) So, when Asshole shot Kyle...he shot future Kyle. And in that ensuing ball of light, normal Kyle was returned. I think.

It answered SOME of the questions, yet kept it open for (hopefully) future episodes. I really felt bad for Shawn though. Nobody, expect the girl, seems to want him around. Poor guy, I'll take him in! I thought it was interesting when Lily and Richard were driving to the hospital at the end and the trees bent towards their car...wonder what that was all about.

Kind of an indictment against the Homeland Security, which is fine with me; couldn't believe that agent shot coma boy. sorry, the tipping trees was a bit much.

I wanted to see what that was all about.. the superpowers it has. I wonder if the guy is really the father- if when they were placed into the future, him and lily got together, but when they were placed back their memories were erased. I was so glad they explained where they came from- not aliens but from the future. I would have never guessed that one. I hope this show comes back.

Once they were altered, they were dropped into the time where things started to go wrong so they could change what would happen in the future.

The ball of light was from the future. 'They' came back to the past to collect these people to 'seed' them to change events in such a way that the outcome of the future will differ.

The six-hour series, which starred Joel Gretsch and Peter Coyote (news), chronicled UFO abductees who returned to Earth with mysterious powers. The 4400 (TV): USA Network has officially greenlit a second season for the sci-fi drama whose brief six-episode run this Summer was a ratings smash. Thirteen new episodes that will premiere during the Summer of 2005.

So many unaswered questions, like what is inside that womens stomach. And what were they sent back for,ect. Hopefully a DVD comes out for the first six hour series.

I'll make my own set of tapes to keep. I'm hoping this is leading in to the rumored series in development. I imagine this is how Lost was originally pitched, a short run mini-series with a decent "ending" but enough loose ends to tie up if a series was warranted. When Lost was greenlit, the writers adjusted and took the immediate answers out. Here's hoping for another success. I think they had a great start on their hands and look forward to the birth of the alien baby! Most of the actors were great. Especially the interracial couple. That Jordan Collier guy is sufficiently creepy and the little girl (Maya?) is pretty good as well.

I'm definitely going to buy the DVD of Season 1, and am looking very forward to Season 2 this summer!
