I too noticed Rupaul's (now) gaunt features. It's horrible that the first place my brain went was to his Poz status. But he did look busted. The hollows of his cheeks were a wonder for sure -- and the poorly groomed wig did not help. Though I do need to keep in mind that Ru is not that far off from turning 50. Maybe it's just drag fatigue and bad lighting. Jesus be a lacefront.

I liked Joe and Korto's designs the best. They were the most cohesive, well tailored -- and totally flattered the models. Jerell, Suede, and Leann had the right ideas but the execution was mostly poor. I actually felt bad for Jerell because he did put a lot of work into that dress -- cobra collar and all. My heart breaks when his heart breaks. And I'm sorry (actually I'm not) but Terri's creation was a mess. I would actually put it into the bad category along side Blayne and Keith. Stella's dress was just as blah as Daniel's. The only thing she did to zest it up was throw on some plaid -- but beyond that it's just a basic black dress. SAME thing with Kenley! That silver sheath was straight out of the how-to-be-a-golden-age-starlet handbook -- it doesn't matter that she glued some feathers to the back. Don't get me wrong...I'm thrilled Daniel is gone but still.

Great episode overall -- but is it wrong of me to think that most of those drag queens showed up in better costumes than what was made for them?
