^Chiko, I think you're responding to me, here. Although Sigvold and I watch a lot of the same shows, and comment in the same threads, I'm not his ghostie.

I met Tim Gunn a few weeks ago at a book signing. He also gave a book talk and did a Q&A session. People asked about S4 and he said that this time around all of the contestants have at least a few years of industry experience.

Does anyone know when it starts up again? Can't find that info anywhere. You'd think they would be hyping it like crazy by now.

I'm guessing once Top Chef is over, Project Runway starts. Bravo does a really good job of ending a reality competition show and starting the next one right away.

I found this little tidbit about when the next PR will air. Kinda sucks that we have to wait...........
www.tvrobot.com/project-r...on-runway/ Stalled on Runway by Roxanne McDonald Season 4 of Project Runway will not air this summer, but will premiere in late 2007. Man, does that bum some of us fans of the show. The next Project Runway has been announced and promotedbut minimally. So its little more than a tease to our summertime TV schedules that Project Runway 4 is still in the making rather than ready to watch! According to Reality TV World, et.al., season four will premier in quarter four of 2007. Also different is how Project Runway will follow Top Chef Miami (rather than the other way around). And mixing up the format of the finale, according to Realty TV Worlds Steve Rogers and Christopher Rocchio, season four will see only three finalists face-off at New York Fashion Week a change from the third season format that featured four finalists presenting collections. The casting call and auditions began in late March/April, and Dean of the Sewing Machine, mentor Tim Gunn, discussed the upcoming talent: Weve moved about 125 people through to the next level, quotes ET Online. The talent is there and, as a group, the people have anywhere from six to 15 years of industry experience, and strong points of view. Though Gunn has taken the Chief Creative Officer post for Liz Claiborne Inc., and is leaving Parsons, he will still guide this new talent, men and women about whom Gunn says they could cast three seasons with the talent [they] saw. (Reality TV Worlds Christopher Rocchio). In his blog on Bravo.com, Daniel Vosovic (runner up in season 2) confirms the talent we will be seeing as well as some of the, er, less than gifted: I must admit that its always a bit amusing to see some of the characters who come our way man, if I was only able to name names! With fellow judges Joann Pailey, Lee Twimble, and under the knowledgeable guidance of guru Gunn and assisted by Michael Rucker, Vosovic put 125 hopefuls through to the next round. He writes so candidly and creatively about the process, I was craving details about the actual applicants which he was careful to avoid, dammit. Guess we have only the occasional commercial teaser to hang our hopes on. |

I hadn't seen Myra Breckenridge in many, many years, so I rented it the other night. Just as I remembered it, but...when Mae West is doing her nightclub show (its hard to listen to the Black Crowes seriously again after hearing her take on Otis Redding's Hard to Handle!) Raquel Welch is wearing a fitted long sleeved black v-neck dress with a huge stand up white ruffle collar that is nearly identical to Laura's design on last season's Project Runway.

Thanks for resuscitating this thread. I posted the following link yesterday on the "Top Chef" thread, but the article (in the August 13 issue of New York Magazine) mostly deals with the trials and tribulations of past Project Runway contestants:
nymag.com/news/features/35538/ Don't know about you, but I have a hard time believing that 15-year-old girls grab Santino's crotch at concerts.... |

I can guarantee that a gay guy will be my favorite. Season 1 it was Austin, then Jay after Austin left, Season 2 it was Daniel, and Season 3 it was Kayne.

The South African Princess Kara who nearly became America's next great designer was my favorite season 2
contestant. I liked Uli and Laura from last year. Anyone but Penis neck....ugh. I'm sure ever gay guy on that season (read: every male other than him)
had trouble getting over the shock of the resemblance...

Gay dude here who couldn't stand Laura. I quite liked Uli and I was fine with Jeffery winning. What's the premiere date for S4 anyway? |

Yeah, that's Melrose. Her + Malan are like BFF. I'll give her credit for at least pursuing modeling post-show and it looks like she's done more
than Caridee who has all but fallen off the radar.
