I caught a promo for this one. Looks interesting (damn, I watch too much TV). Might be a nice alternative when GREY'S ANATOMY is showing a rerun.

It is airing at midnight and 4am in Winnipeg. Fucking scheduling bastards. I guess we can only air controversy in the middle of the night So I won't be watching |

I'm at the point where I give any new HBO series a chance. The odds are usually good (ARLISS, CARNIVALE and the one with the blonde from FRIENDS being the only exceptions I can think of).

its got chloe sevigny, bill paxton and jeanne tripplehorn in it. how could it not be awesome?
I also think they are going to explore polygamy from a less "everyone is fucking brainwashed" perspective, which will be interesting. I've never understood how society can celebrate Hugh Hefners polygamous life and yet finds it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that people could actually be happy in a polygamous marraige. It is NOT for me but neither is lesbianism - who the hell am I to say how people should live? |

I saw a promo for this a few nights ago...prior to that I had no desire to see it but now I'm really intrigued. I think it's at least worth checking out.

I watched the making of Big Love on onDemand, i'm definitely gonna check it out, since they're moving Deadwood to June to give it a shot. It better be damn good.

Going up against Grey's Anatomy tonight, following the Sopranos. I think I'll just watch Grey's and wait for the comments on Big Love by fellow Sucksters...not like they won't repeat it 8 times during the week anyway.

I liked this one. The relationships are just too fucking weird, but intriguing.
I hate Chloe Sevigny. A lot. So it's a good thing her character is supposed to be unlikable. Anyone who missed this should give it a shot--quality HBO. |

I had never heard of this show until a couple days ago. Didn't know what it was about and thought I'd watch the first few minutes. I had to stick with it for more than a few minutes just to figure out what the deal was. Then I couldn't turn away and had to watch the whole show.
I liked it. Strange concept...but I liked it. Works for me, since I don't watch Grey's Anatomy. |
