I like the show but I think the way they are doing it is just dumb. It shouldn't be a story about how he met their mother it should just be about 4 friends in NYC. I know that would be exactly like Friends, but atleast you could continue the story while making it somewhat plausible.

By the way, who is that red haired girl? She looks really familiar but I can't quite figure out what show she was on. I really like her. The cast is really great to tell you the truth, except I think the concept sucks. I will probably keep watching though because it is somewhat funny.

The only thing is there wouldn't have been camera phone pics, 15-20 years ago, when all this is supposed to be taking place. After all, he's telling the story to his teenage kids. That really bugged me last night. I'm sure they had cell phones, but not like now, and not ones with cameras!
I'm liking the show, but they need to remember it's set in the past, not modern day. |

I've watched the first three episodes. I saw the lead guy (Josh Radnor) when he was a teenager in a community play, and he was very charismatic. I think the cast really shows some potential if they get some decent scripts. So far I think the writing is really lame.

Tonights episode was really good IMO. I was laughing so hard when Robin started to do all that crazy stuff on camera. I really laughed whenever she fell into the horse shit and then started screaming..
Ted getting beat up by that girl was friggin hilarious as well.. |

How many stories are his kids going to have to hear of him having sex with women that aren't his mother before he finally gets to where he meets her? No to mention the countless women he hooks up with in between breaking up with his mother (we were on a break) and getting back with her.
