I had never really thought of it before just because I liked her. But now that there is a whole show on it, it made me curious as to why they previously had cast a single person in a lead role on a show about housewives.

They're about well-to-do women acting horrifically at home and out in public. I don't think half the audience would be watching the show if it were about housewives, in the traditional sense. Probably only Caroline in NJ fits that bill. I would be curious to know how many of these women described themselves, when asked, as "housewives" before being cast on their respective shows.

Whether to cash in on the publicity, or because Bethenny's wedding and pregnancy are already "out there" anyway, who knows? Her baby is due the first week of June too, so the premier date will correspond with that press as well. I wonder if Alex will make make cross-over appearances, or possibly even Ramona? If so, and they are paid, Jill will be really pissed.
