Excellent that it's coming back and not on HBO...but wow, some of these changes seem a bit insane. Survivor: Palau did a decent job presenting the three people who got kicked out in the premiere (well, Wanda and Jolanda at least) but I can't imagine a show dropping six contestants like that so fast. On the one hand, I really hope nobody gets out in a pick'em or anything besides a fight, but on the other, six fights in the first episode leaves no room for character development, and makes absolutely no sense. We're pretty much guaranteed to have the six most forgettable reality show contestants ever, and considering some of the people who've been on Survivor, Apprentice, Big Brother, not to mention all the cancelled and obscure shows, that's saying a lot.
Tommy not being there is going to suck too. Not enough for me to quit watching, but after an excellent first season (up there with Borneo and TAR2 for me) and a pretty good second, this season's probably going to be a huge letdown. |

I finally got a DVD recorder so hopefully they re-broadcast all of the first season right before the new one starts (which I think they did last year). I still haven't seen the second episode. |

Are we sure it's really coming back September 4th? If no this is the worst marketing job in history. I mean...that's kind of soon. And I have heard
absolutely nothing about it, and I watch a very fair share of ESPN. Also there is absolutely nothing about it on the website, you would think we'd have a
cast list by now

I've been checking the ESPN website every now and then. There is still no website for the show that I know of. However, there is a new video (might have
been put up today) showing some of the new fighters train using some advanced technology to record their progress and what not. It's pretty cool, but you
hear more from the trainers than you do from the fighters. Only one of the fighters gives an interview, but he is from Melbourne, AUS, which is pretty cool.
Anyways, 1 week until the premiere! |

I really hope I remember to watch. Even though season 2 wasn't as great as season 1, it was still as classy as reality TV gets, so I do have high hopes
for this season, even if it isn't as good as the other two.

i still wont be able to get use to the set change and drop off in quality after season 1. season 1 was one of the greatest reality shows ever produced and the
cast was just phenomenal. its tough for me to get into what feels like a show that is going in reverse... with that said, if i remember ill most likely give it
a shot.

I looked up all the names from wikipedia, nobody looks all that exciiting aside from a guy whose nickname is "Sugar Poo". However i guess boxers in
general don't look interesting.
I got to see the 2nd half on last season today for the first time, I really liked Noberto Bravo. |

eliminated in the premiere. So will 6 boxers be sent home without even getting the chance to fight?

So much for Alfonzo having such a big heart, he's a wuss. Lafarrel was robbed and didn't get a fair shot. The guy had a mohawk and gages 
My favorites are the British guy, Sugar Poo and Jaiden (Queens Represent!). Awful first episode though, no wonder they didn't promote it.

I honestly didn't go into this season with much expectation considering 6 boxers were going to be cut along with the minimal promotion. But I got to say, I
was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. I agreed completely with the six they cut, even the dude with the cut. I'd like to hear the story about the
dude that showed up 30 FUCKING LBS overweight, was this dude some last minute replacement? Or was he just a slob that
didn't take it seriously enough to cut the weight? If so adi-fucking-os to you.
It should be interesting how exactly this will breakdown with only 10 fighters with 5 winners, moving forwards. |

I hated cutting the boxers. Let them get in the ring and fight it out. If they suck, they'll lose. This isn't a team sport, it's a tournament
where it's every man for himself.
BTW, Danny Santiago usually fights at Light Heavyweight. He was overweight for the class of the show, but it's not because he's a lazy, fat slob. I do wonder why the producers even had him try out. He's been boxing above this weight class for years and just fought for the WBO light heavyweight title in January. |
