Just watched this show and was surprised at how much I actually liked it. Minus that bitch Kim, everyone seems like just cool, good people who want to push themselves and work hard to lose weight.
It's just a feel good show. Very good. I hope it does well ratings-wise. |

Flipped between this and Hell's Kitchen since nothing was happening on HK and I liked some but it was a little too feel good for my taste w/ the whole BFF for life shit after they all just met and the voting thing at the end.
They chose the money over that guy's chance to lose the weight and then they all cry about it. Whatever bitches. Whatever happened to losing 1-2 lbs. a week healthily? 15lbs? Even 6? That can't be too healthy, no? I would think it would just come back a lot easier. |

When you weigh as much as the people on the show, 6 pounds isn't that much percentage-wise. These people never exercise and eat terribly. Such a dramatic change to exercise and diet habits will yield dramatic results.

They voted him out knowing they were giving up $10,000 if they did. Most of them either did it out of "pity" for him or because they didn't want to walk the extra 13 miles, which pissed me off since they're there to lose weight anyway! After so many of the girls were upset about how little weight they lost, you think they'd be more interested in taking another 13 miles to help work more off.

The dude had stress fractures. Though I can't imagine any doctor OKing a 500 pound man for a 500 mile run, injury or no injury.
Who would have thought the gayest reality show ever would be this one? There's the 26yo virgin, the softball les, the adorable stand-up comic les, and I have my suspicions about the male coach, too. |

I was becoming nauseated with the whole "these are my best friends in the world" mentality of these people. You know the second they are off this show they are never going to see them again and couldn't care less.
I wonder if the 26 year old virgin will lose it on the march. I find it amusing that everyone else gets identified by their profession, but he gets identified as being a virgin...I think he is a gay virgin at that. I wonder if there is any sabotage going on? Like, maybe someone is hiding pats of butter in the others' oatmeal trying to make them gain weight. |

Fat March would have been much better if CBS had taken a page out of that Stephen King book (I think entitled "The Long Walk"), where a group of
people are in a walking contest. If you stop walking, you are killed. Last one walking gets fabulous prizes.
At least then the crying of the remaining walkers would be justified. |

Yeah, it didn't seem all that exciting the bits I saw but I caught the bit about the preacher man having stress fractures. I'd have voted him off too
since he'd be lucky to be able to walk a mile while crushing his remaining foot bones. The group would still be in Conn. if they'd not voted him off.
I didn't catch why the diva quit. She didn't like having to camp? I guess she thought this was The Biggest Loser spa like vacation.
I might look at it again just to see how many of them actually make it to DC. If they are two down on the first episode it's not to promising. |
