No, I watch JoJo all the time.
Those little bastards last night with the fucking computer and cursing out their mother. I would have took that computer and trashed it. I would have took all the doors off their rooms and I would have watered that poor crispy yellow lawn of theirs. If I was their neighbor I'd move away. (Destroying of the flowers!) The mother should fix herself up and get a new man, preferrably a military man to put those little fuckers into formation.

That was my thought with the computer. Don't keep asking them to get off, go turn the damn thing off and remove a cable and you're done. You don't try to conjole a kid into doing what you ask.
Those kids have beat her down. I wonder what the neighbor's parents thought when they saw their little precious talking about how they sneak out at night. heh |

I told her that I did not and proceeded to unhook the cords between the processor & monitor and then took the mouse away and shut the thing down. Now she's grounded from it. |

I found that poor woman a bit of a lost cause last night. Her 8-year old needs one good smack, IMO.

I know there was a thread for this before, mia, because I remember posting in it. I didn't watch it last night, but the kidson this show are so fucking evil, it's clear they've had some pretty shitty parenting.

I only caught bits and pieces because I was watching the GG, but I would have slapped the shit out of those kids in a heartbeat. Who the fuck lets their kids pound on them and curse them out?
Someone asked me, what about CPS, you can't do that anymore. Bull. I would have smacked that kid so hard his head would spin and then hand him the phone and say, "Go ahead and call the cops because if you don't I'm liable to kill you." Little bastards. |

Once my nephew started getting too big for his britches. My sister had told him to go get a belt. He refused (almost twice her size) and said that he would call the authorities and report her for child abuse. She told him to go right ahead. He'd be put in a foster home, she'd go to jail. She'd be out by nightfall and he'd still be in the foster home and he'd find out what child abuse really was in there.
He went and got her the belt. As my children got old enough to start testing their limits, I told them this story. |

Oh, ACG, yours are teenagers! That's a bit different.
There's not much I hate more than being out at the mall or grocery store, and there's some out of control children running around screaming and pulling stuff off the shelves, and then there's a parent somewhere either completely ignoring them, or else screaming at them and calling them little assholes or fuckers or such, but not once trying to tell them to stop what they are doing. Then complaining about how they can't control their kids. |

Here's what we did when my son started getting out of hand. We took his older sister in the bathroom, when she was in trouble for something (he had tattled on her for something just to get her in trouble instead of him) and slapped our hands together while she pretended to cry. Splashed a little water on her face to look like tears and she came out and played the part perfectly. He straightened up real quick and cried for her...lol we still talk about fooling him and he's 28 now and still maintains that we were "mean"

^^^ Sorry, but that's pretty fucked up. What did that teach your daughter? That she couldn't trust her parents when it comes to discipline? If you tricked her brother when would you be tricking her? I think when it comes time for discipline it's not the time for cruel jokes.

I think the point that was learned was for the little boy to not go making things up or tattling for every little thing on his sister. I could see doing it if nothing else works.

This is the first episode that I've seen where I felt it really wasn't the mother's fault. Usually it seems that it's parents that just don't want to put in the time and effort, but she was clearly overwhelmed and looked ready to break at any minute... I felt so bad for her.
I hope things continue to get better, I'd like to think that those boys will watch the show and see how awful they've been and how they've hurt her. I'm sure it's been tough on them too, losing their dad- particularly the oldest. I wonder if they've had any counseling. To the mom that tricked her son in here- I can see going there. Depending on how old the daughter is, and what kind of child she is (if she's a good kid, mom letting her in on the trick isn't going to change that). Sometimes the usual rules don't work, so you improvise. She avoided using physical punishment, but got the same results.. good job I say. I've tricked my kids before, not just in the ways of punishment... when I know their listening, but they don't know I know.. I brag them up big time (I do it anyway, but it means more to them if they know for sure it's not just for their benefit). |

I actually really did feel bad for this mom too. Didn't seem like, when her husband was alive, that she played much of a discipline roll. Seemed like he did it. Then when he passed, she just didn't know what to do in terms of discipline and dealing with her kids emotions about their dad.
I like JoJo. I don't always agree with her parenting techniques (I don't negotiate and that 50 trips to put the kid back on the naughty spot bullshit is for the birds). But it does seem like she finds some appropriate ways for parents to deal with their kids. I wonder how many of these families go right back in the gutter after the show is over?? |

The problem is that these kids were never diciplined, ever. A two year old that's a out of control turns into a four year old that's violent and nasty and a sixteen year old that's on drugs, procreating and or in jail.
If you ensure that your children always respect you and always know that they have to follow directions period it's not an issue. |

Good thing for Bella and Sam that Muscle Mom didn't lay her 24-inch pythons on them when they pushed her and kicked the door.
Anyone else thought she looked scary enough with those arms? I don't know about cerebral palsy, but shouldn't Muscle Mom try to get Mariah into some kind of muscle-building program? |
