This is just insane to me. In a good way I guess though. And five acting noms for Days of our Lives as well but only one actor still on the show? I wonder if that's ever happened before. Majorly happy for Peter Reckell, in any event.

They were the ones that aired the nominations, supposedly. Perhaps that is playing into the record number of Days nominees, as the soap itself really didn't lend much to get nominated for.

(sorry for being wrong). I wonder why NBC decided to broadcast the nominations then? Usually the View got stuck airing the nominations. I guess Hota and Kathy Lee needed to sip on wine while these nominations were aired this year.

The year before they were on the Early Show. The presentation was awful. Kathy Lee mentioned Peter Reckell was always nominated. Such a moron. I also hate when they freak out when Susan Lucci isn't nominated.

Anyone who thinks the material we have today is completely crazy. I can see why people like the Victor/Stefano stuff, but everything else is completely boring, and I hate Stephanie with a passion.

The material right now has nothing to do with these emmy nominations. The emmy nominations are for 2008 work. DAYS was quite good the first 3 months. All it takes is two really good episodes.

I do see Days taking a page out of Y&R's playbook with the battle of the business empires. Maybe not a page, but maybe that little corner you turn down to mark your place in the book.

It is kind of hilarious though if Days wins when just like their actor noms, more than half of the actors/characters from those episodes are no longer on the show (Shawn, Belle, Claire, John, Marlena, Steve, Kayla, Grandpa Shawn, Chelsea, Max).

Plus Y&R screwed themselves with some of there pre noms. I guess if Renee Jones, Ali Sweeney etc want a emmy nomination they need to get fired/quit.

Posts: 81 (05/17/09 1:49 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	How could anyone hate Stephanie, one of the characters involved in one of the best moments on a soap opera ever, in which she and Chelsea made fun of Max and his attempt at hiding his arousal with a pillow? Okay, I admit, I haven't seen this clip first hand as I've only read its description here. In fact, I have tried finding a clip of this cringe-worthy scene on You Tube to see this "wonderful" acting/writing of Days, but have been unsuccessful in my attempts. If I currently watched Days, which I do not (although I do try, but can only handle 5 minutes of fastforwarding through the episodes that I do DVR before I give up), I too would hate Stephanie. From the scenes that I have seen, including Stephanie finding a shot and injured Phillip, I too would hate Stephanie both as a character and for her less than stellar acting skills (from what I see, she has improved by. While I do enjoy Stefano, with all the kids he's lost as well as for all the neglect and contempt he showed Tony while he was alive, I do not get this whole eye for eye thing with the Kiriakis's (sic). Why hasn't Stefano gone after Hope with the same conviction in terms of getting revenge as his is with Phillip and Victor? Posts: 16881 (05/17/09 4:48 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Considering following Megan Hathaway's death Stefano was somehow involved in faking Hope's death in that explosion over that vat of acid separating her from Bo and her family for years and subsequently kept her trapped at Maison Blanche, erased her memories for years and later on implanted a chip in her to use her as a pawn in his diabolical schemes (and get some action) as she was Princess Gina, I'd say Stefano got plenty of revenge on Hope so much so that his vengeance toward her may be a wee bit tapped out at the moment. But his rage toward Phillip... well that's fresh and even if Phillip didn't technically cause Tony's death, he did provoke him in a physical fight and Stefano really has no idea exactly what happened at the pier except the claims of Phillip who would not confess if he actually killed Tony and Nicole, who you may not be aware of this if you don't watch the show, but is kind of a pathological liar. Sure, Stefano and Tony actually hated each other and Stefano pretty much ruined Tony's life, but it's not like Stefano has ever been one for introspection about his own faults and failings nor has he been one needing much of an excuse to try to kill people and/or destroy lives.
