What did everyone think about Friday's episode? I felt like they were trying to get a good storyline going, but it fell flat for me. Maybe it's my
mood today, but I couldn't get too excited. I sort of hoped everyone in there would die when Morgan pulled out a bomb or something.
Maybe it's the casting. When Philip delivered that line "Someone's out to get me... and I don't like it." I was looking at the TV and
wishing it was late 80's Stephano or even Evil EJ from a year ago saying it instead. Philip is so ... meh.
I'm not giving up yet, but I seem to do a lot of email reading, etc. when I'm "watching" lately.

EJ and Sami's marriage really being annulled before EJ lied about it. Lucas at a computer ordering the equipment so he could break out of his tracking device. Chelsea deciding she wanted to be an occupational therapist. Roman and Lucas arranging whatever their deal is that is resulting in Lucas being in maximum security.

At least we got to see that Philip is faster than a speeding bullet. I saw only the final 20 minutes, and that was enough for me. All I could think of during that scene was that John wanted the spirit filled Morgan. I'd rather watch him have sex with a 80 yr old then a 12 yr old.danny, this cracks me up. Since I missed the whole Kate and Daniel affair, if anyone is up to it, can you give me a brief account of it? Or was it simply, "we slept togther, don't tell." |

Suds, you know better than that! Any story worth telling, it's going to happen off screen then slapped together in a flashback. Daniel and Kate
apparently had an affair several years ago (where, who knows) and now since the good doc is wanting to warm the sheets with Chelsea, it behooves the writers to
have had him with Kate. Lord knows Chelsea can't sleep with anyone until either her mama or grandma try him out first.

Higley quit???!!!! you aren't teasing, are you? if true, this could very well rank as one of best days of my life. |

And in a move sure to surprise nobody and disgust everybody, Ken Corday is trying to woo Higley back to the show. Apparently, she quit while he was on
vacation, and he wants a second chance to keep her on board.

Yeah, Something HUGE HUGE HUGE is going down tomorrow. Nelson from TVGC said it's something that basically destroys Days of our Lives.
Rumors are that Higley might be back and Ed Scott is fired. Other rumors are a major vet is being forced to Y&R (Dedire Hall). Another rumor is DAYS going to 30 mins. There's also rumors this has to do with the whole Hogan Sheffer firing last year. And possibly DAYS being blacklisted by the WGA. I'm dreading the news tomorrow. I've decided that if Higley stays and forced Corday to fire Ed Scott that I'm done. I'm so sick and tired of Ken Corday destroying the show.

The big news is supposed to come out at 12pm Eastern. One message board is saying that NBC is forcing Corday to allow JER to return as Head Writer as part of
NBC renewing the show.
God, I pray they are wrong. I refuse to watch JER write for this show again. |

Looks like the JER rumor is fake THANK GOD.
But this is huge. One admin at SON is refusing to even touch the story. Something big is going down. And it involves Y&R as well. Since Nelson said something about this could possibly destroy daytime and Y&R and DAYS. I'm thinking it has something to do with Sony. Since Sony owns both Y&R & DAYS. |

Okay here's the scoop.... Mind you this is far from over....
This is from Nelson's Suds Report.... -Dena Higley has not been Head Writing for some time now. -Executive Producer Ed Scott is writing the show. He's been encouraging one overblown diva to rewrite her own lines but also her onscreen's lines as well. (There was a rumor that a younger actress on the show was sleeping with the producer.) -The overblown diva has been telling co-stars that she and Ed are the new head writers. -The mess of the show has nothing to do with Dena Higley. -Also other actors have been told to rewrite their storylines. -The WGA is investigating the show. The Guild, who have been investigating Higley for allegedly scabbing during the writers' strike, now have to defend her. Thanks to Scott and company reportedly hijacking the series, Higley may have just been given the out of a lifetime. I am told the WGA have photographic proof of the "coup d'etat," and will fine the series for allowing non-Guild members to pen the soap. -Ken Corday is trying to take control back of the show and rehire Dena Higley. -Ed Scott has been trying to get rid of Higley and replace her with former Y&R executive Producer Josh Griffins and former head writer Jack Smith. -And DAYS might not be the only soap doing this. It's rumored another west coast soap is doing the same. But proof is an issue. |

damn. i wish the writers could write stuff for the show as good as the dramatic reality that's going on behind the scenes of Days. then we might have
something to look forward to.

Nelson is quick to put alot of blame on Ed. That's why I think this is far from being over. Dena Higley is not a good writer but I don't agree with
the way she was let go. I'm very interested on who the overblown diva is. Alot of people are assuming it's Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe). But who knows.
Ken Corday is in huge trouble though. WGA could inforce huge fines for the show. This is also not good news with the show being renewed. NBC must be getting sick of all the scandal backstage. I wouldn't be surprised if Y&R is the other west coast soap doing the same. I wouldn't be surprised if Josh Griffins is doing the same over there. |

No disrespect to the WGA, but Days has sucked for so long now except for a week spurt every now and then. I don't care if Mrs. Johnson's fifth grade
class is writing the show if it's halfway decent. Maybe it's hard for Ed Scott to go to a show like Days after spending so many years at Y&R. He
probably had high hopes for re-working the show. Still, toss him and his diva out the door.

DAYS is also still paying JER (Whose contract expires next year), Hogan (whose contract expires next month) and now Dena Higley.
ETA: More fallout will be revealed tomorrow. The WGA steps in. The photgraphic evidence is scripts with Ed Scott and the diva's name.
