The first one with the plate loving crazy was hilarious. That far into debt and he's buying Royal Doulton plates, plastic wrapping them and never using them. Wow. We soooooooo wanted to dive into that Yorkshire Pudding, though. The second one in Spain with the kid who was wasting Daddy's money and, yes, the dog poop was just crazy. The donkey dick kabobs! I really didn't think the guy would listen and learn, but he certainly did and it seemed that he turned the place around nicely. And I also really hope that his US version of Kitchen Nightmares is more like the BBC version than his Hell's Kitchen shtick. I like the kinder, gentler GR.

Also, I think I caught a glimpse of Brad from HK. I love the BBCA version, and inevitably, the restaurant owners who take Ramsay's advice succeed and the ones who don't fail miserably. BBCA showed that GR once had a failed restaurant called Amaryllis in Scotland but the food was too upscale/exotic for the area and he had to shut it down, so he knows from experience.

Of course, if ABC had got hold of it, it would be all tear jerky, a la Extreme Makeover. And NBC? Well, I suppose they'da shoved Chris Hanson in there somewhere. CBS, lord only knows - Ramsey would be revamping Early Bird Special menus.

You guys are cracking me up with ABC or CSI My favorite BBC one was either the eggplant colored building or the one on the golf course, hell...might even be one and the same. But he ordered duck and was flirting with the waitress. He invited her to sit down after a confessional about how chewy it was, and gave her a bite off of his fork. While dissing the duck and conversing, she's STILL chewing and he offered her his napkin to spit it out (in his hands!!) and they were still laughing when she walked away still chewing. I really hope old plate collector guy realizes his errors, he's killing himself and will leave his wife with nothing. He'd already had several heart attacks. His big pot of gunk gravy was nauseating.

"The idea of bringing moldy food in and planting actors [as disgusted customers] is a f--king joke," Ramsay tells TV Week. "[The plaintiff] is a man who got very scared and very embarrassed about his lack of professionalism.... We were issued a writ because, god bless America, if the toilet paper is not thick enough and you come out with a rash on your ass [you get sued]." Is that true? Because the bathroom tissue here at the office is not exactly exemplary. Earlier this month, a judge turned the suit over to arbitration.

That's because before he got his award, he revealed that he burned himself while cooking. Here's his story: "The other day I was standing too close to the hob when I was cooking. I was wearing cotton trousers and underneath I was going commando. Then suddenly I felt this searing heat - my b*s were burning," he said, according to The Mirror. "I burnt my right b***k and I'm in absolute agony. You wouldn't believe how much this hurts," he said. (I assume the censored word is "bollock," which I just learned is a synonym for testicle, although why exactly that's offensive I'm not sure.) Anyway, Ramsay announced that he burned his bollock just two weeks before the US premiere of Kitchen Nightmares. Well played, Ramsay, well played.
