in a way, i actually agree with the idea of the production staff not leaving the whole renovation behind... if they really are just trying to show what could be done for the restaurant. I mean, if you leave it up to the business owner to actually do their own redecorating instead of just handing it over on a gold platter, they might not be as motivated to continue to work at making their restaurants successful on an ongoing basis. some people just ned a kick in the pants to get them to think outside the box, and that's what i think the show should do. so if it's a matter of bouncing some ideas off the owner, and saying, "have you ever tried this?" that's cool IMO.
however, this is not the case with the handlebar. i don't think those people should even be in the restaurant business. gordon was basically going in to show those people how to start a restaurant. they might be fine for working in a restaurant but they certainly shouldn't be running one.
