The woman who plays Kai is a horrible actress. I wouldn't expect anything to make any sense with this one before it gets cancelled.

the beauty of cable is that they don't cancel (in a cbs-abc-fox-nbc-whoever) normal ota kind of way.
hbo bought all of these fucking eps and you will see every one of them. every week and on time. every ep. every ep produced will shown. god bless cable tv. and fuck you milch. i could be watching the fourth season of deadwood. the one with the answers to all of them questions you posted in the first three. yeah, those seasons... but. you chose another direction, milch. and my entire "evil plan" is working! milch. suck on that, milch! jfc gets to die! |

Is this show just a PG-13 surfing Starman or something? I tried to watch it from the middle and couldn't understand a damn thing. It was so boring it put me to sleep.

If that's the casethey should keep her in the water and limit her lines because she stinks. Or take her shirt off whichever

David MIlch LOVES to cast non-actors in his shows. He said in an interview he hates auditions so he prefers to use actors he already knows and non-actors.
That's why so much of the Deadwood cast is in JFC. Richardson(Deadwood) was just an extra at first. |

I only watched a few minutes of this, so I have to admit that I really don't have an informed opinion...
but I don't want to live in a world where crap like this gets on TV, while Lucky Louie gets canned. |

I'll keep watching it because I don't have much else to do on a Sunday night. It does crack me up that Bill (Ed O'Neall) calls the precinct every time the wind changes direction. HA!!

I can't help it, I'm intrigued. I like the way John talks. Yup, that ONE single bit alone got me to watch the second episode... now there's a flippin cliffhanger-ee thingy and I'll have to watch again.

I tired not to watch (sorry sofa!) but I have to admit, I'm intrigued. The second hour was MUCH better than the first. I'm curious about the plotlines. Sue me.

Re: Watch | ||

One of the most brilliant and original shows I have seen.
I watched episodes 1 a third time this morning and rewatched episode 2 and get more with each viewing. too bad you crybabies got sand on your lollys. Wah, WAH WAH! The dialogue is pure Deadwood style each sentence cuts with a dozen words in a style that is almost violent. The characters may be the most flawed and damaged people since Twin Peaks and the X Files. |

Re: Watch | ||

Are they going to give people a chance to watch the show from the beginning any time soon? I was on the road and missed the first few, it doesn't seem like it's possible to start from the middle.

Re: Watch | ||

you could watch the jfc eps in any random order and the show would still make as much sense (probably more).
seriously, next week they'll run the first 3 eps (thursday) before the new ep 4 (sunday)... |

Normally its 3 strikes and your out but after wasting a 2nd hour on this, its 2 strikes and I'm out. I agree with sofa, what a tragedy that Deadwood was cut short for this.

Re: Watch | ||

If Deadwood had been cut short for this i'd agree, but since Deadwood got cut because of it's expense vs. it's ratings and not because of JFC, i'll disagree.
I loved Deadwood and I love JFC. It is possible to do both. I talked to W. Earl Brown(Dority) and he said that once JFC is done filming, the Deadwood movies will be started with as much of the original cast as possible. |
