Just watched it. It's already a vast improvement over last year, and it's better than GH right now. It started out a carbon copy of last year, with a car accident/explosion in the emergency room. But things went in a completely different direction when annoying Dr. Ford was offed in a truly shocking manner. (His acting was awful for every moment he was onscreen, and his demise was a gift to the fans.)

So much was right about this episode. The return of Jagger provided some much-needed eye candy, and mentioning Karen and her death was a nice throwback to the '90s on GH and to the first GH spin-off, Port Charles (before it was infested with vampires and warewolfs). And Jagger having a son named Stone? How cool was that?

The maternity leave storyline was contrived, but that seems to be par for the course with Robin and Patrick. They could be such an interesting couple, but they get saddled with "he said/she said" bullshit and conversations about couch shopping. At least Robin's conversation with the stroke victim's boyfriend was written with care for her character's history.

One thing that needs to improve - the use of Billy Dee. It's already obvious he and Nurse Epiphany are going to end up together, but it seems odd to have him wanting to return to GH after his last stint there nearly got him killed. It's like they have a showbiz legend, but they don't know what to do with him.

Also, isn't Robert Scorpio supposed to be on?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next episode, which is more than I could say anytime last year.
