Okay,
It summer and time for all the Survivor/TAR/RealWorld/Apprentice sucksters to watch something new. Will it be better than the others? Lamer? Was some producer reading all the posts here and taking notes or just following the same paths? Will this be a winner? Or another Unanimous? Will it stay on page one of this section of threads? Or will you have to look it up on page 10 to read a 3 month old thread? I'm betting a hot new show based on previews and contestants? There's eye candy, mactors, alpha males, and nerds aplenty to be sucked at. |

You forgot to mention Amazing Race Sucksters.
This show looks terriffic. Plus it looks like the network spent bucks on it. This will be no cheap knockoff of any other show but a totally new experience for us all. The cinematography looks awesome, the contestants look interesting. I predict that it WILL stay on page one of OSTS. |

I really hope it's good, but we'll see. We don't know anything about the show except it's travel + puzzles. For instance, how are teams eliminated? How do you win?
I'm a little afraid all the puzzles will be too dumb, like the Da Vinci task in Amazing Race this season |

Great marketing ploy by little Ronnie HOward.
The Movie "Da Vinici Code" will have people all geared for "a quest show" So he chooses this summer to release the new show! Elements of the movie "National Treasure" in there as well. I hope it's good. I hope the Puzzles are tough etc...that's why I liked the mole, it required the contestants to actually think from time to time. |

Ugh, I know you guys want these puzzles tough but, they can go too far with it!
For example, I tried doing the puzzles in this book called A Treasure's Trove where you compete to win jewelry...those were so hard they made my head explode and I never got close to winning. Not that i'm whining about my own shortcomings but... It would be fun to dumb it down to a college graduate level :P Just kidding. But seriously, the puzzles in that book were all solved by mathematics PHD's I think. Just would be nice to have some for the monkeys out there like me, and some head exploders for others. |

Yay, it looks like a interesting bunch. More families then I expected, the promos made it all look like certain types of groups. But 5 of the teams are families.
 Young Professionals  Geniuses  Brown Family  Southie Brothers  Miss USA  Ex CIA  Grad Students  Airforce  Fogal Family  The Wild Hanlons I'm either rooting for the Browns or the Hanlons. Hanlons have a 19 year old on the team which is kind of interesting. |

It's going to be tough early on the pick out which team is Miss USA and which team is Grad students. Browns and Nerds will get the early audience underdog vote. I think we won't be seeing a lot of Air Force. They'll either go early or get lost in the editing. But so help me Opie, if there's "DaCode" tie-ins I'm tuning out!! |

Didn't a preview say there are two groups starting from different places who don't know about each other?
Can we assume from the locations of these shots that Southie, Miss USA, Ex CIA, and Hanlons start together in some cold area, then Fogals, Air Force, Geniuses, and Grad students start together in some warm area. (With the other two harder to tell) |

That would be cool Glebe. Start all the teams from different locations. They're all after the same clues at each location and must find and solve all the clues before heading to the treasure from where ever they are. Make the time and distance of travel roughly the same. Random picks of who starts where. No team knows how many other teams are out there.
The filming is done so it's only a matter of editing to create tension and drama for the viewers. |
