Based on TDT's vidcaps, I'm pretty confident Laurel will be cut adrift next. Alexis, Christian, J.D, and Joy are shown on the mysterious white team. Azmyth, Cheryl, Kendra, and Louie are shown in the next Pirate's Court as safe. Ben is shown in two different non-premier vidcaps as on the red team and the black team. Jay is possibly on the white team and is too much of a camerawhore to go so soon. Jupiter and Sean are shown as officers at some point. Nessa or Christa may go, but they've been shown on both teams.

So I think it's safe to assume that the captain changes from week to week. Otherwise, the only way to remove Joe Don from captainship is to mutiny, at which point he'd be eliminated from the game altogether.
With that said, I'm guessing that the winning team produces the captain as well. Which would mean that Azymth (or however you spell his crazy ass name) would have to be on the winning team? I don't know. |

 And no, I'm not sure this is a vote in Episode 2. It is part of the new preview on CBS which has several things that make me think it could be episode 3??? |

Assuming you're talking about this shot, the card says Nessa. It looks like there's another one in the stack for Nessa already. But there are vidcaps of Nessa from at least one, possibly two or more episodes beyond Ep2, so no worries for her this week.

Actually, yeah, that does look more like Kendra's name. But CBS just helpfully showed her in two new outfits at Pirates' Court, so she should be safe for a bit as well.
As for Joy, she's shown on at least two more crews after this episode, which is about as much as can be said for anyone. She's also on the white team, although it's not clear if that's good or bad. |

Who is that sitting behind Sean and Jupiter (behind Seans left elbow) in the picture of them drinking in the Captains cabin? Could be Azmyth but the hair looks too dark.

I changed my mind. I think Christian is going, because we know Laurel is on red this week, and from the TV guide preview there's a shot of her in black. So that means the mysterious white team might be outcasts and the next five boots are Christian, Alexis, J.D, Sean, and Joy.

I think Joy might last a bit longer, there was an interview with the host and he said that there was a girl that surprised him the most because she was fairly weak in challenges, but was kept around
It might be someone else but Joy is shown to be the weakest girls so far, but since only 2 girls were shown in the first Ep, it might be someone else |
