Dominica seems to have lots of waterfalls in addition to Middleham Falls-- so who knows? Maybe we'll get to see more than one?

All the waterfalls look alike to me. Someone could get really motivated and figure out some heights, I guess. From our location list, there are falls at Dubique as well as well as Middleham Falls.
The other locations that seem distinctive to me are Red Rocks, Scott's Head (which has a gun emplacement supposedly - isn't there a vidcap of Azmyth with some cannon tubes still outstanding?), Secret Beach (rock arch), Miracle Lake, and Titou Gorge. I guess there's an emerging pattern that if they need to go up a river they take the boats, otherwise they swim? Btw, just to save anyone else looking it up, apparently the weather in Dominica was completely uniform throughout the filming time. |

I doubt that anyone from the mysterious white crew returns to the ship. My guess is that starting with episode seven, for a number of weeks, the remaining pirates compete against the team of 'cut adrift' pirates for the treasures. If the 'cut adrift' pirates win, the remaining pirates would elect a new captain. If they win, the captain stays the same.
Jay is getting a mastermind edit and is probably one of the final 3 pirates. For him to have the best chance to find the final treasure and win, he has to ensure that he goes up against two goats (read, contestants that do poorly in the expeditions). He's already picked Kendra as an ally. Joy would serve well as the other choice. |

I just read at RFF that starting on July 5th, Big Brother 8 will be shown on Thursdays at 8 PM. PM will be shown at 9 PM on July 5th. Starting on July 10, PM will move to its new time slot on Tuesdays at 10 PM. I guess this will put an end to the rumors that PM is going to replace Survivor after the sixteenth edition.

Pirate master just doesn't work well as a TV format. It's a fine game, but there's just too much going on. With Big Brother, you have the internet to allow people to get to know the contestants. Here you have very little downtime footage and it's hard to care about anyone.

That picture ALMOST looks like the scene right before the captian cuts the rope with the sword. Almost like he just lowered the expelled pirate down and is about to grab the sword to cut the rope.

The intro also gives away a few things. The main one being, Jay with a growing beard (meaning he's going to last a while) wearing the Captain's jacket. Unlike Joe Don, while clearly in the position of Captain, Jay is shown working alongside the rest of the crew instead of being a dictator.
Some other small giveaways, Joy and Jupiter, both wearing the colors of the team they've never been part of yet (Joy wearing black and Jupiter wearing red). |
