The Therapy Buddy's voice reminded me of Val from Solitary. Everything is going to be alright, number 7.

My problem with the Christmas tree thing is aside from people who have had housefires before because of a Chirstmas tree would anyone else really buy it? I honestly don't think there's enough people worried about that kind of thing to dedicate it to the top of their Christmas tree which is kind of a big deal.

I agree. I don't think many people would buy it, unless they REALLY market the thing well. Yes, the video footage was scary and eye-opening, but I doubt people are going to buy some angel attached to a hose and then be willing to actually set it up. A lot of people already hate the work of putting the tree up anyway, and now you have to rig up a hose unit to a "fake" present and all that?
If it's that much work, I'd rather just use a fake tree. I hope there are better ideas than that on future episodes? Or was that it? That kid's idea with the diaper and wipes was actually a good one. I think he explained it wrong. Didn't the judges think they were hand wipes? I was under the impression they were the baby wipes attached to the diaper. I loved it and I have a baby...I can't tell you how many times we've scrambled around looking for the damn wipes container. If they were attached to the diaper, you could stick a few into the diaper bag and be done with it. |

Quote: I think the judges could figure it out, it's just that aside from taking two products manufactured by someone else and packaging them together, they hadn't really created or invented anything. It's a good idea, but hardly an invention. |

That's true. He didn't really invent anything new, but it was a good idea to package them together. If Pampers or Huggies starts doing that soon, then we'll know where they got the idea from!

I actually agree with George Foreman. I would buy those sponge gloves!
And anyone who's forgotten wipes when changing a baby would love, love love the baby wipes on the diaper. Saves all that time searching thru the diaper bag. LOL |

I think some of the greatest inventions were the simplest of things. But what the Brit judge is looking for, I think, is the next @#%$ or next generation high-tech gadget type which is so out of reach from the average inventor. Btw, what happened to last year's winner? Did the product ever seen the daylight in the consumer market?

Honestly, George Foreman is like Paula Abdul on AI: They both suck at judging. Foreman liked practically every fucking invention!

Even Flo is futzing with the safety capsule last I heard. i have a feeling it's in development hell. Isn't there non-toxic flame retardant that could be applied to a tree?

Quote: BINGO! "Everything is going to be all right. Chapstick?" I thought George axed at least one of them, the bicycle hubcaps obviously, plus I think another. My bet is that he's supposed to be the yin to the Brit's yang (and why is that every judging contest needs a an acerbic asshole with an accent?), Sarah's the mother figure, and Pat's the father. I like him -- Pat -- btw; he brings to mind the PCD's Ron Fair. |

They should make mini-therapy buddies.
You can hide them in your friends bags and when they get hurt they'll be all creepy. Then your friend will need therapy. |

Ok, I missed last week's show and didn't see the Fireman, but does wheel chair guy totally pwn him? Or is Fireman still in the lead?
OK, obviously wheelchair guy was pwned by Fireman (now that I've seen the end). So, only one person from each city moves on this year? Damn, that's harsh. While I loved the race car thing, I did think the flower/air freshner thing was cool. |
