Off to Chicago.
Elmer the double paddleball guy. Whoa! Great idea. The judges are lurving him, asshole Pat to one side. Down to the bastard Brit: a yes! Shower curtain chick: a yes. Germophobe shopping cart chick. a yes? Dog ball couple: great idea, I think. Actually, a really good idea. And note: all of them had actual inventions, not schematics. |

Still in Chicago.
Howard the finger tunes guy. Sorry that's just stupid. Hello, hello how are you, hello .... Phew. Running ropes guy. Oddly enough, this guy was in REALLY good shape. I wonder what was going on? Abs tanner. Six pack guy that blew up. We pod? Eggolutinary? The judges bail out, laughing. Big editing: David Lee with a life saving invention. Some guy with foam on his buddys head. Season 1 viewers: are these people for real?! Wow, Chicagos really flipping the judges out. Against NYC? Who woulda thunk? |

How do you even spend 300 thousand dollars on a toy? I'm not even sure how it's possible.

Re: American Inventor | ||

I just wrote the same thing:
Still in Chicago. Wes who put lotsa cash into his invention. Why is Pat the go-to guy for tests? Drag racing starter toy, it does look fun. THEY PUT $300,000 INTO THIS?!? WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?!!! Its a great idea, but not $300K great. This poor guy. At least he gets to the finals. Loved Georges life lesson there, too. How is it possible to put $300K into that toy? |

At last, back to NYC!
The judges desperate for a finalist. Everybodys getting their asses kicked. Will they leave NYC with no finalist? AHA! A guy from Yonkers appears! Oh this is going to be awesome! Black cougar? Oh dear, its the protect the children pitch. And hes pitching a movie on an invention show. Now THIS is what I had hoped for from NYC! I cant believe Im pitching a cat to a network owned by a mouse. The judges are taking this guy seriously? No dont cave Pat! This is NOT an invention! This is a TV show? Cartoon? Movie? Yay Pat on Spiderman: thats a movie. Yay Sylvio: Philadephia sucks! Now Im pining for the NFL thread. |

Re: American Inventor | ||

They should invent soap with a toy inside so the kids will be consumed with bathing themselves to get the toy.

Re: American Inventor | ||

I remember that soap!
As a 3 year old, as soon as I could, I'd snap it in half, only to find a lameass Cracker Jack thing inside. So much for AI-class inventions in the real world. Still, my mother purchased the product, so maybe not. |

ummm...
i'm trying to watch this. because many of my favorite posters are here. i respect your opinions, and i want to share in the shows you enjoy. american inventor. the dude/dudette that is going to give us the next "arch". the next "sliced bread", the next "ipod"! but then i see... a dude that has some hotwheels cars, and maybe 20-30 feet of hotwheels track. and he has spent $300,000 for what i could pull off for $20 at a local thrift shop? his family mortgaging their houses so "race track boy" can spend $300,000 to build a $20 test track for hotwheels cars? and the judges pass him through? y'all watch this? is y'all insane? * and i say that as a truly caring sofa, a sofa who really does care about the insane. but a sofa WHO THINKS Y'ALL ARE CRAZY!!! * |

Quote: This has already been invented. They sell them at babies r us and they are cloth covers for the handlebars so babies don't chew on them. Shower curtain lady - hello the enviornment? Paddle ball man - looked like fun... Hotwheels guy - how pathetic is that family getting mortgages on this idea that has already been done. Hello HOT WHEELS. My son did like this idea though. |

I loved hot wheels back in the day. Are they still around? My fave car was the splittin' image. I'd like to know how he actually spent all that money. truly mindboggling.

Re: American Inventor | ||

my guess would be he spent the money on cigarettes and booze for his buds while they spend each night racing a'gin one another.
you know, testing the concept... * shit, now y'all got me hooked on another show. i am insane...* |

Re: American Inventor | ||

The invention was not the Hot Wheels track, it was the pedals that make the cars start.

Re: American Inventor | ||

oh well that certainly justifies spending all that money<rolls eyes>

Quote: It was definitely a pity vote to avoid him putting a rope around his neck when he gets home. I have no idea what he spend on, but you think he would have about 10 toys invention for that kind of money. |
