you know I love K-Grif, but the part where she is trying to get a free couch and junk kinda turned my stomach. She is living in a multi-million dollar home, yet she wants people to give her free stuff? I've seen celebs do this before, and about the only one who comes out in the end is the celeb. Unless of course you get on Oprah with your stuff, then its pay dirt.

She will probably do a tour sometime so I would pass on the $175 event - not to mention she'll probably repeat a lot of the same bits from the Bravo show.You're right; she'll probably do like 10 minutes. Unless the benefits for a charity you relaly want to support, it's probably not the right setting to enjoy her comedy.
I agree jfk - it's one thing to be frugal but she's downright CHEAP! I respect somone who can negotiate a bargain but c'mon girl. The irony being that the few people who can actually afford certain things end up getting them free. I wish she still posted here too, can you only imagine what she would contribute to the TAR and Blow Out threads? |

I'd love to get all of the free shit that celebs get. Watching her try to shake down the sofa guy for free furniture was funny and uncomfortable at the same time.
Her budget for redecorating the house was only $100,000? I do love Kathy. |

I loved that Carmen line. The other day was the first time I saw that Kathy special and I thought it was great.

OK, I already can't wait for next week's episode with Kathy getting dissed on The View. I love that they wouldn't give her clips so they had to sketch it out. Did anyone see that episode with her on it? What happened (exactly; I can surmise she probably pissed them off). |

Kathy: "Or, there's a big gay event" I loved her going hog-wild on samples at Costco, getting mistaken for her designer's assistant and how everyone's got a funny title "hotshot's assistant," "cheapskate salesman." "Andy Dick - Kathy in Drag" OMG I'm watching now & this party is sort of embarrasing now... does anybody even D-list show up? So far it's that bitch from Everybody Loves Raymond's assistant and the fitness trainer from the Biggest Loser. It was great how they timed Ray Romano, I get the feeling he's a bit of a dick?!? Wonder what makes her cry on the Tonight Show next epi? One time I was watching her on that show, and she was showing pictures of her with celebs at an awards show - including a picture of her with Carmen Electra. jay quipped, "look, it's like a before and after picture!" and she seemed caught off-guard and I felt soooo bad for her. Talk about dicks - do you think he would ever offend any other guest like that?! |

I loved that Lance Bass hangs out with Kathy and her gays on game night but feels the need to hang all over the only other woman there. What a fucking queen.
I'm a little disappointed that more people don't recognize her when she's out in public. Did anyone catch the furniture guy saying that the last pic he had taken with a celeb was OJ? This show is so good. |

The house is over the top and it is hard to feel for her trying to get free stuff. But I also see that she will bring publicity to the folks who do her house, so....
My take on the whole show - what is up with Kathy's hair?!? She used to have perfectly attractive nice curly red hair. Now it looks just plain wierd. She pretty much says it's a weave or or a wig. IMO it's a bad one and styled horribly. I think the overdone forehead adds to the whole thing; it looks terrible. The hair from the first performance show is better and I know that was more recent, so I guess someone sat her down and told her how awful it looks. All her desperate attempts to get free stuff makes me wonder if that is what happened to her eye. She said on ET that she had three lasic procedures before her eye problem arose. THREE??? All surgeries are risky, but cutting open the same spot three times over just a year or so is bad news. Anyways - she is hilarious and her husband is coming off as a sweetie. More power to her if she can get free stuff. |

I'm terrible at bargaining and feel embarassed haggling even at flea markets, so her boldness at asking for free stuff, just makes me uncomfortable... OTOH, people like Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Robert etc get loads of free shit all the time for doing even less, not to mention they make way more money and could afford to buy it, so why shouldn't Kathy do what she can.

Bet the gift basket was worth more. And, Patricia Heaton thinks it's ok to send her assistant? She does ads for a grocery store here in LA> get over yourself. |

Yeah, and what about all the celebs she talked to about the event at the drag queen show? Marcia Cross couldn't come out of her closet to deliver one stinkin' toy? I can forgive Patricia Heaton - with her Albertson's commercials she's doing enough charity.
