I hated it. I won't watch again. Too predictable and too far-fetched.

I just finished watching it. I liked it...for the most part.
America Ferrara was incredible! I agree that she deserves to win an Emmy for her performance. But the cartoon-like visuals burned a hole in my retinas and the non-stop background music was beyond annoying. I'll definitely tune in next week though. |

In the words of your average pothead..."That was some good shit."
I tend to fade in and out while watching a new show, but this one held my interest right up to the end. Favorite line: "BITCH! YOU BROKE MY PLASMA!" Most disgusting moment: Wilhelmina gives leftover Botox to her assistant. They named Wilhelmina after the modeling agency. Coincidentally, Wilhelmina was also Queen of the Netherlands around the turn of the 1900s. |

^^ You're right. She's one of the producers, she probably did those shots because it was funny.

It was too predictable and dramatic at times for me, but considering it's a pilot episode I'm saying there's huge potential. Pilots are just a launching pad and IMO are very rarely amazing.
I think the show will get better, though it should be 30 mins instead of an hour. The bitchy receptionist's walk and the Guadalajara poncho got me laughing but so did the photo of Betty and her boyfriend beaming with hot dogs!!!! Salma's cameos were AWESOME! Her hand shaking with the gun.... OMG Vanessa Williams is so mesmerisingly gorgeous....Is the Scottish woman the same one off "Extras"? "It's like a weirdo Sex and the City" |

Totally agree that it should be a half hour show.
That said, I loved it. I loved the gay baby brother, especially. |

I loved it, but I think it's doomed. Americans don't tend to get camp like this.

Yeah, somewhat predictable but so is just about every other show on network television.
It is a bit over the top, but I think that's pretty much what they are going for. I really liked it and look forward to more. America Ferrara is fantastic. And Eric Mabius is hot. And Vanessa <3 |

Salma Hayek's cameos in the telenovela were a RIOT, and a completely dead-on parody.
The only complaint I have is that I couldn't understand a damn word Gina Gershon's character, Fabia, was saying. Not a single word. I have no other qualms with the rest of the show's campiness, but not being able to understand a character's dialogue because of an excessive, fake accent is a big pet peeve of mine. |

Who plays the receptionist? Girl is HOT as hell.
The show was entertaining and held my interest for the full hour but I didn't really love it, it was just OK. The cheese in terms of Betty having inner beauty and teaching them all lessons is already annoying me and it's only the freaking pilot. The characters in the fashion industry were fun and the cartoonish sets/colors are inviting but I don't know if I will watch each week. These campy, feel good shows aren't ever must see TV for me. I prefer more hardcore crime and legal dramas although I do like DH, GA and a few others outside of that description but I think this will end up being more like Las Vegas, enjoyable when I watch but I usually choose not to b/c I don't really care. |

I LOVE AMERICA FERRERA!
That said, the pilot was mediocre, but promising. I really hope ABC gives this show a shot. |

Wow she really is ugly. Good show. I like all the candyland style sets. I love the receptionist. Yes the plot was predictable. That's why I dislike most scripted shows and why I like reality shows. But I didn't think about it while I was watching the show. I like this show a lot better than the other new fashion drama on fox or upn. Since I like Ugly Betty, it'll probably be cancelled soon. Why the hell couldn't they show it at 9pm. I hate when they cram too much good stuff at 8pm thursday. I was able to watch this and Survivor but I had to miss The Office.

Predictable? Sure, but I loved it. I'll record it every week and watch it after Survivor and Grey's. Great show!

Good show, but for some reason it felt like something I'd see on UPN or the WB (a la POPULAR). Loved America and Vanessa.
