As usual, it was a total disappointment. Why bring back old, favorite actors, then relegate them to the back burner? I'd have much rather had 5 minutes of real flashbacks (not the ones that literally flashed for 2 seconds) than watching the Buchanan kids dancing around the living room in a scene right out of "Mama Mia" and two slo-mo musical montages at the airport. Considering the history that could be mined, the return of Kevin and Joey was a total waste. Lazy, bad writing!

And I understand that we've had several funerals for Asa before, but would it have been such a bad thing to actually let the characters (and the actors) eulogize him? Yes, Phil Carey is still alive, but Asa was a rare character, and the fact that neither will return to the screen is a huge loss for OLTL.

At least Alex was up to no good, and it looks like she might actually be staying around for a while. Damn, was it good to see Max! And Joey's scene with Dorian was priceless. But Cord's appearance was totally wasted with nuSaraFlashWhateverShe'sABadActress.

Erika Slezak gets a month-long vacation, so her soul-searching will be off-camera. Let's hope that while she's traveling, she finds David and brings him back for good.
