She will... it'll probably be a lecture on watching what one says before they say it or that dave can not take away the pain, trauma, embarassment, and herpefication of how his statement affected hr family. Although there was an apology, the pain is still there for her and the many victims of both physical and psychological rape by talk show hosts.

So Sarah Palin has graciously accepted Letterman's apology. And I don't think he ever wanted to.... I head that a major hotel chain/ sponsor threatened to pull all of their advertising without an apology so the network FORCED him to do it. But this isn't over yet... there will be protests outside the building this afternoon... a lot of women's groups are still pretty pissed.

I fought in both of those wars and they were not about free speech. I believe she was referring to WWI and WWII where America saved the free world's collective ass.

Oh, shit, I thought she was referring to current military women and men since she did not use the past tense but instead referred to those who are "putting their lives on the line . . . ." Does this mean Palin just pulled a "Letterman"? That what she intended to say is not what will be perceived?

Retired veteran... and EX-Letterman fan. He hasn't been funny in 8 years. I do hope he's not cancelled for this hoopla. I want to see his rating drop of the next 6 months or so as Conan's rise...until they pull the plug on him.

Since Dave switched networks, he has come out as a tool for the left-leaning media. Other late night hosts are more middle-of-the-road... they aren't dumb enough to throughly alienate half of their prospective audience.

So Letterman screws up, he finally apologizes, and Palin accepts it. Then people mock outrage that she DARES mentions the troops? Give me a break.

If you want to see classic Letterman, look up the "Crispen Glover" incident from the late 1980's. Even better than Glover's appearance on the show was the week or so that followed as Dave mocked him nightly.

Now THAT was funny... Dave at his finest.

True... he has a team of writers. Each of them write a few dozen jokes per day for Dave to choose from. But he's been picking a whole lot of Palin jokes. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
