I'm always amazed at the anger spewed against Palin and her family when she really hasn't done anything to deserve it. It's pretty weak that ten times the energy has been spent on freaking Palin in less than a year, than on Bush & Cheney(people who have actually affected our lives) over the last 8 years. And LOL at people saying it's just a joke, when many of these same people preached that going at Michelle Obama was off-limits. God, why are you people such hypocrites.

Oh, and if ABC was smart, they would move Jimmy Kimmel up to 11:35pm because Letterman hasn't been funny since NBC, and Conan has been major suckage since the move(I blame Andy Richter).

I thought the SNL Fey/Palin stuff was funny as hell, and have zero problem with clever jokes/skits like that. What bothers me is the endless anger directed towards her and the family since the election. Bristol fucked up like many other teens have, but in no way deserves to be treated like shit because her mother has a different political view than us. I'm all for making fun of people who deserve it, not so much though in favor of tearing down 18 year old single mothers. There no real fun nor sport in that.

I guess it just bothers me that Bush has been hardly mentioned since leaving office despite all the bullshit he did to the country. Cheney has been in the spotlight, but again he didn't get put through the ringer like Palin has, in fact, his popularirty has grown. Edwards cheated on his wife while she had cancer and the MSM's answer was to say, "it's a personal matter" when it broke. Nevermind the fact that if he had been nominated this would have handed the election to the GOP. Even dictators in Iran, N. Korea, and Venezuela don't get the hate that Plain gets. it's just baffling.

But I guess I shoudln't be surprised when this country gets angry at a beauty pageant contestant's view on gay marriage, while giving a pass to a president, and two political parties who also share that view(and actually have power).
