That's the whole point. Why does Horatio need to do that practically every week/ Is he ... a CSI? A cop? A social worker? A psychologist? To be honest .. he's everything but a CSI. Plus the scenes where he's being all compassionate with children is just creepy.

Law enforcement workers should be impartial, and as such when he does it .. it lends such an air of unbelievablity to the show. On top of the fact that the show is called "CSI" not "Miami Beat" or "Miami Cops" or some such thing. So it should be more about the evidence and not all these exterior things which would muddle up the investigation.

Horatio is made out to be some kind of demi-God .. who can do everything & anything, and that's just plain annoying when you know that the rest of the team are the ones putting in major hours doing actual work. And voila, Horatio pops in and in 5 seconds points to something and it's the solution.

Btw why is he so far in front of the picture in the poster? That just seems so wrong.
