Ok, I finally watched all the Angel episodes. Amazing how uneven it was. Sometimes it was awesome and sometimes (most of season four) it was really weak. What
they did to Cordy's character in season four sucked. It's like they tried to make her another Willow and failed miserably. Season five was the best and
had the best stand alone episodes although the early seasons were good also.

Season 4 was too yuck. Holtz had potential, the actor was great, but the whole Connor thing sucked. He was a shitty actor then, and such a whiny weak-faced
kid, for the offspring of Angel and Darla.

Cordelia as a character was one of my biggest disappointments in Angel. I agree on the yuck-factor of her with Connor. Putting aside how completely dawnnoying
he was, him putting a baby in cordy was just icky. I actually liked the Jasmine thing (after I rewatched season 4) but what the story arc did to Cordy soured
that whole season for me. They semi-redeemed her in season 5 with her farewell but even then I thought it sucked that she had to die. I'm not against
characters dying I just thought Cordy deserved more than that considering she'd been with the series and Buffy from the very beginning.

^ I totally agree, but it definitely seemed that someone behind the scenes had it out for her big time. Her character was treated so badly in season four and
just thrown to the side afterwards. It seemed as if someone was trying to punish Charisma, and wanted to make the audience hate her as much as possible. She
deserved so much better than that.
That said, season 4 is my favorite season of both Angel and Buffy. Intense and awesome from start to finish. I loved how the action started early on in the season instead of later, and how each episode led into the next one. |

I think Charisma gotpreggars in real life forcing Josh & company to rework their storylines. Plus, she got fat which is a big no Hollywood.

I actually liked Season 4. I caught a rerun episode the other day, I think the episode was Salvage, where Faith takes on The Beast and Angelus. It was good
television, especially when you compare it to what is currently out there.
I wish Angel hadn't ended after season 5. Things were getting really interesting and I would have liked to see what htye had planned for season six especially if it was anything like the comic book series. Anyone heard anything about the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. I know it has nothing to do with Joss Whedon's Buffyverse but I'm still interested to see what they are doing with the movie. |

Yeah I quite liekd S4. It plays much ebtter on DVD as it's basically one massive storyline but I thought it was nice and dark. Really felt apocalyptic. The
genreal population was being affected and they knew it rather than them being largely unaware as to how close they came to being destroyed which is the norm in
the Buffverse.

I just bought all the seasons on Amazon (the slim sets). I have 1-3 right now and am currently on season 2 (at Lizard boy).
I'm embarrassed to say this but I'm not sure I ever saw the episode "Hush" so I'm excited to get my season 4 DVD! eta: oh and anyone who thinks Angel is a better character than Spike is a sodding idiot and needs to piss off. |

Sooooo... is anyone as Buffy addicted as me? I went to a Sing-a-long down in Houston this weekend. I got to meet Amber Benson. She is really cool. There was a
meet & greet at a museum in the city, then we went to this gorgeous downtown green area and watched Hush while she signed autographs. Then she did the
Sing-a-long with us. Tons of fun! If you can ever get to one I highly recommend it. :)
