The American dub kinda sucks, I tried watching the first ep and I wanted to slap that c.unt Serena whenever she spoke. And Luna was some demented bitchy British hag. I guess it at least introduced the series, so that's good in a way. Just started rewatching this... good times. And has anyone watched the live series yet?

"She's the daughter of both the Moon and the Earth Kingdom so she should be crazy powerful, let's give her the weakest attack ever" Also, thank the Gods you never saw the English dub. The voices are so terrible. The cuts get on your nerves (like how they kept dropping "Make Up" forcing them to either make up crazy new names or to space it out awkwardly)

Another stupid thing about the dub is that they censored the gay relationships by making Zoisite a woman (and I actually believed it) and Uranus/Neptune cousins (WTF?). The other voices are annoying, but I actually prefer the season 1 dubbed voices for the 4 inner senshi and the fact that they don't say "make-up." I've watched some of the live action series. While it's a little retarded, I do like how they actually fight rather than just stand there and use their attacks. I made these recently. I have an obsession with henshins. Henshins of all kinds. Even today, I sometimes feel like raising an object in the air and shouting a special phrase.

She likes all the Japanese type stuff: Pokemon, Kiki, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away - those are the ones I can think of off hand. I thought she was the only girl who got into that stuff, it was more of a boy thing. It's funny watching her and my 27 year old brother bonding on the couch watching Japanese cartoons. LOL

ETA: I don't like magical girl either (except for Cardcaptor Sakura), I watch Sailor Moon more for the sentai aspects. Which helps explain why I loathe the Chibi twits so much. And I love the Japanese original voicing, it matches all the characters personally. Plus, I like having them say 'make-up', it's just... such a Japanese thing to do. :p It sounds weird when they only say "Moon Power" or "Mercury Power" in the English dub. Oh and the Japanese music is by far superior. That is all.

Victoria turns into Sailor Moon Blue ( ) turns into Sailor Mercury Sarah turns into Sailor Jupiter Dana turns into Sailor Mars Carrie turns into Sailor Venus And the second is ALWAYS good for a laugh! The animation is weak, the song is terrible, and the acting is HYSTERICALLY horrible. ONE OF THE SENSHI IS IN A WHEELCHAIR.

Granted it was a little cheesy, but that is what made it truly spectacular. If only the Outer Senshi got more screen time. There were by far the best, especially Setsuna and Hotaru!
