One of the CW's most buzzed about shows for the Fall season.
Scott Patterson from Gilmore Girls was recently added as a recast for the father. The preview on the CW site looks great and has been getting great reviews from critics. PREVIEW

The way Patterson is photo shopped into the cast picture is hillarious. Supposedly the show is too.

It's a CW show, so it will probably be cancelled after one season.

The show is bound to offend. Playing the five prayers for laughs? That cannot end well.
And I cannot see Scott Patterson playing the dad unless they completely rewrite the character (score one for typecasting!). |

Apparently Scott Patterson had a clause in his contract that required him to be placed on another CW show if Gilmore Girls ended. So that's why he's on
this show now.

It's not too bad if you like manure and lack a sense of humor.
 Big fuckin' waste of time. I can't believe it's earning any buzz at all. It's offensive, no class humor sprinkled through a painfully obvious story path. |

Just saw the pilot online - seems like any other B-grade comedy sitcom with the offensive aspect thrown in. The muslim kid seems nice but is waaaaaay too fresh
of the boat to be realistic.

I wasnt offended by anything in the pilot. It was pretty funny. Not hilarious by any means but I think kids will like it.

Any thoughts from those who watched it last night? I thought it was pretty good but it could use more jokes. It seemed like they kept setting up jokes but then
ended up either not going through with it or just settling for a minor chuckle.

I liked it too. It was sweet. A reviewer said that between this show, Reaper and Chuck it's nice to see characters that are just nice. I agree.

I know it aint saying much but in terms of quality, this is one of the best new shows on television. Hopefully it won't have to pull in better numbers than
the other CW shows that nobody watches either to stay on the air.

You have to be kidding me. Nobody is watching this show? I had to come out frickin' posting retirement just so I could bump this thread up. Everybody --
skip Prison Break next week and try this show at least once.
This show is hilarious, kind of like a very good second season Malcolm In The Middle episode. At first I thought that Pakistani kid was joking with that ridiculous accent, then it sort of grew on me. In two episodes, the main characters have more development that any new show this season. I wish it werent on the CW. Fox might have known what to do with this. |
