Its about a guy who finds out his parents sold his soul to the devil. He has to pay back the debt by capturing souls that have escaped from hell. Sort of a dark comedy. The cast seem to do the best they can with the script but I didn't think it was all that good. Unless subsequent episodes improve substantially over the pilot, I don't think it will succeed.

I like what I've seen of it, though the best friend could get recast and I wouldn't blink. But whether the show succeeds or not is really already a moot point. It's on the CW - they'll cancel it after two seasons. Ray Wise cackling, "I'm the devil!" is just golden.

Still don't think I will tune in for this. It's adequate, but I'm only going to bother with something exceptional (like Pushing Daisies). I did love Ray Wise as Satan though.

This one was just a'ight for me, dawg. I will watch for Ray Wise. That was the most brillaint bit of casting in television history. He's an absolute delight. The rest of it was just okay. The humor was a little forced and juvenile, but hey - it's the CW and the only two good shows they had are gone. I'll stick with it via torrent downloads (just incase my Tivo somehow offers ratings info - CW gets no ratings from me.)

It's got potential and I certainly loved it a lot more than "Chuck". Reaper boy and his tubby buddy have great chemistry. The rest of their wannabe Scooby Gang... not so much. In fact they are ugly and can barely act or over act (looking at you ghetto law girl). Scenes with Ray Wise and the indentured servant work very well. There's tension, fear, respect and mystery. I like that whole morality play and passive aggressive intimidation thing. Concept just needs a bit of polishing with a crew change here and there and it should be a keeper. Hey, BTVS had its growing pains in the beginning.

The effects were silly, I wonder if that might be intentional? Kevin Smith is the exec producer and director....think of the shit demon in Dogma. I'll probably Tivo it and just watch it when I have time. The sidekick was trying a bit too hard to channel Jack Black.

I wasn't expecting too much, but I love the main character guy (that was on The Loop)!!! I was amused, and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
