Can't wait for this one as well. Did anyone watch "Pasadena" (I think that's right) on Fox? That was a quirky, fun little show from creator Mike White ("Chuck & Buck" fame). The ONLY reason to watch this is Marcia Cross. Saw a picture of her in character w/ 2 baskets of fresh-baked muffins & pearls. Can't wait for June Cleaver to turn to Martha Stewart!
Teri Hatcher got so thin, ala Lara Flynn Boyle, that it aged her before her time. I don't think she still has recovered yet. Edited correct the name & to add: Okay Smart-asses! I admit it, I got the name wrong!! You KNEW who I was talking about!! Rotten tomatoes right back at'cha!

I am looking forward to this show, mainly because I have loved Felicity Huffman since "Sports Night" (a show you can add to the list of good shows that ABC axed...ah well, at least I got two seasons). I am really glad to hear that it is getting such good reviews!

I think I once heard MARCIA CROSS say that she regretted being Kimberly Shaw because people couldn't separate the actress from the character.

^^please do...this has trasy soap written all over it, and considering that Marcia Cross, who played my favorite soap character of all time, Kimberly from Melrose Place, is a star, for me, it's can't miss viewing for me. Also, let's consider the many sitcom/dramedy cross-references in this, with Seinfeld (Marcia Cross (Pimple Popper MD), Teri Hatcher (Sidra) and Brenda Strong (Sue Ellen Mischke, the Braless Wonder)), and Sports Night (Felicity Huffman (Dana) and Brenda Strong (Sally)).

I also have the full length version of the "LOST" pilot. It's actually a 2-parter. I'll be watching that over the weekend.
I forgot all those women were in Seinfeld too. Damn! You're good Probate!

I have too much on my TV viewing plate to get into Lost. I thought about it on account of it's good to see Charlie Salinger back on TV (reference: Matthew Fox played Charlie Salinger on PO5), but I just can't do it. Wednesday is my night to catch up on stuff I missed from earlier in the week. Even if the show sucks, the title - Desperate Housewives - has that, "hmmm...this must be checked out" feeling to it. |
