Rarely do I find a pilot to be entertaining. 99 out of 100 times, they suck. This was the exception. This one hit on all cylinders. OMG...awesome. Yeah, the suspense elements threw me.
Felicity Huffman stole the show for me. The whole three bratty sons and then running into the former colleague at the supermarket and lying as the sons ram the shopping cart into the other woman at the checkout lane.
OMG...you are SO correct on Nicolette Sheridan. WTF....she SO reminded me of Jennifer Coolidge, without the boobs, in the sense that when she was on Seinfeld as the masseuse and when she did American Pie 1, she looked young and hot, but then something happened before Legally Blonde where suddenly, her face exploded in wrinkles. Not that it's a bad thing, but it was a sudden shock.
Oh, and since there was a Seinfeld connection (Brenda Strong/Teri Hatcher/Marcia Cross) and a SportsNight connection (Felicity Huffman/Marcia Cross) with the introduction of Felicity Huffman's husband on the show, it's nice that we now have a Melrose Connection (Marcia Cross/Doug Savant). Which then brought me full circle as I just had to watch the Seinfeld where Jerry had to take the Lie Detector test to say that he didn't watch Melrose....
Marcia Cross is the best. Bar none.
Let's just hope that future episodes are able to sustain this level of entertainment!
