I've got a gripe...why does this show have so many gdarn clip shows?
 I groan everytime one of them comes on. I'm
also not a huge fan of the first season..it was a tad too serious for me. I also am not a huge fan of the "Lottery" episode where they spend the
night in the homeless shelter and that cheesy song plays. Or the Empty Nest spinoff, the one where Mike Seaver's Playboy gf has a baby, or the eps where
Sophia "buys a peach" /saves a friend.
On a brighter note... Never fails

I just felt like posting in this thread because I am pretty much just now discovering this show but it freaking makes my day. Seriously . . . I had seen the show before but like three weeks ago there was absolutely nothing on television at like 1 AM at night and I was too lazy to get up and put in a DVD, so I watched an episode on the Hallmark Channel; since then I'm pretty sure I've watched almost all 6 episodes every day for the past three weeks (or have DVR'ed them at least). It's just such an epic win in general that it deserves a bump =] I think I like the earlier seasons more (the first episode I watched was the first season finale) and the second season in general brought the lolz, but there have only been one or two episodes that I've been kind of "meh" on. TGG ETERNAL LOVE. |

Hallmark censors GG. What's up with that? The other night I was watching it at like 10:30 at night and Dorothy is supposed to say "bitch" and
they mute it.
I just saw a commercial for Betty White on the Bold and the Beautiful in an "unforgettable role". I guess I have to start taping B&B. |

Hallmark censors most of their programming. They mute phrases like "God damn", "bitch", and have even muted the word hell on some programs
(like Murder She Wrote), so all you will here is "see you in (pause)" and "go to (pause)." Yeah, Hallmark doesn't want to offend the
senior citizens watching their programming by airing such foul language.
That said, this thread scares me everytime it's back in the top ten most recently posted in threads. Today I was thinking "Poor Rue! Must have taken a turn for the worse" before opening this thread. Glad to see Betty and Rue are still okay for now. |

Seriously, that should be a rule that every post in this thread begin and end by saying everything's okay. It's funny how everyone has that reaction when opening the thread. DrewB, you are talking about discovering this show. I have 3 friends who've just come to know GGs as well. One has likened it to a religious conversion he's immersed himself so. Glad to see so many people enjoy/enjoyed this show as well. It still holds up. *Rue and Betty are still on earth. Everything is fine.* |
