Ugh. Isn't this show contaminated with Dohring by now?

Part of me is actually hoping it is picked up by like the Sci Fi channel or Lifetime or something. I'd rather have Dohring forced to stay on a cheesy show
that no one watches than risk him getting cast in a show I really like. What if Joss gives him a job, huh?

Joss isn't perfect- remember Amber Benson?

Dohring isn't even that big a part of the show, so who cares? It's mostly Mick...and I like Mick! Was this week the finale? I thought it was a really
good ep! I hope it still has a chance somewhere.

People, clearly you are unaware of the Dohring effect.
In season one of Veronica Mars he was barely a blimp on the radar. But like a disgusting cockroach, if you don't kill it now it spreads and by season 3 he was everywhere and it was TERRIBLE. |

I liked him in VM and was glad when he got more air time...on Moonlight I don't really care for him, but it doesn't really bother me since he's
just a very small part of the show. If he bugs you that much, just don't watch the show. I don't see the big deal.

That's like trying to tell Captain Ahab to stop stressing about the stupid whale.
I'm finally caught up -- really liked the married vamps ep. Stoopid slut wife though, having to go and blow such a sweet setup. Loved the Ocean's Eleven caper, too. "Freshies" -- ick. Was the lawyer chick the same one we saw really early who was hanging around Josef's pad? I'm glad they explained that, though. Also nice to see the comatose love interest still in the plotline. This show is coming together really well. I hope the stay of execution comes through -- any news on that? |

Not good. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily blog, the other networks have passed on the show. It looks like Moonlight is done.

I don't get why people hate Dohring so much, but then I never understood why people love Kristen Bell so much. She's my least favorite part of VM.

Never say die folks, it ain't over till it's over....and it's so not over yet (at least that's what I keep telling myself).
First, sorry this is so long. Thought perhaps you'd like to see some updates. This is what is happening out there. This is a letter sent to Alex O'Loughlin's manager today by some tireless fans from another board; "Mr. Hart, We wanted to let you know that over the next several days there will be quite a bit of public fan-based support for Alex O'Loughlin from devoted (and very determined) Moonlight fans. Since the public announcement of the cancellation by CBS, the fans have reacted by focusing their outrage and shock into letter, email and phone campaigns towards the networks. However, since the fact that the majority of the show's fanbase is in the 21-50 age range (in other words, employed and with disposable income), these disappointed fans have decided to put their money where their mouths are. On Wed., May 21st, there will be a full-page ad on page 2 of The Hollywood Reporter supporting Warner Bros and Silver Pictures' efforts to find a new network home for Moonlight. Included in the text will be comments focusing on Alex's talent and obvious audience appeal. On Thur., May 22nd, there will be a full-page ad in Variety also encouraging other networks to pick up the series. Both ads are being paid for by donations gathered from fans in more than half a dozen countries. On Fri., May 23rd, more than 100 Moonlight fans from around the globe will be out in front of Gate 3 of Warner Bros studio at 2:00PM to protest the cancellation and encourage Warner Bros and Silver Pictures to continue their efforts to secure a new home for Moonlight, with it's cast and crew intact. Entertainment media programs have received press releases informing them of this large gathering. In addition, this Friday thru Sunday, there will be hundreds of Moonlight enthusiasts from various countries gathering at The Westin LAX for the MoonlightCon - a convention in celebration of the show, its cast and creative members. A number of writers, production staff and actors have been invited to attend. Please let Alex know that we appreciate his incredible talent and dedication to this project over the past year and are determined to continue our efforts to secure a Season Two for Moonlight and the captivating character of Mick St. John. Sincerely," It is also being sent to the managers of the other cast members. Word is (unconfirmed of course), that in today's Hollywood reporter there is a huge ad from Warner Bros. promoting their shows for Emmy consideration...Moonlight got picked for Outstanding Drama Series. The official word from Silver Pictures: "Everybody's really diggin' the support". Talks are apparently still on with the CW. |

This just in via TV Tattle: DirecTV's seriously considering picking up Moonlight, just like they did with Friday Night Lights. There's even a poll that DirecTV requested from the Moonlight support site, http://moonlightline.com/; I registered there just to vote. Folks: this feels like the real thing. I think we're going to be back in business. mmmmmmmCoralinemmmmmmm ![]() ![]()

CBS was stupid to cancel this. They need younger viewers, and this show could bring in the 18-35 year old demographic.
I'm shocked they didn't at least give it a second season. |

heh.
voting in online polls is all "myspace" and all, but unless directv sees an actual uptick in subscribers, assisting limping shows into new lives will not happen. friday night lights is the key here. any "moonlight"/directv deal will be conditional on the success of fnl. when fnl airs, my suspicion is that new directv subscribers will flatline, and the torrent activity of those not actually wanting to pay for the new season will spike upward. you kids and how you do. you want the networks to spend millions to produce your favorite show. but you don't want to spend a penny to enjoy them. the internet is free? right? and any hope for saving shows "promising millions of faithful viewers" but not delivering "millions of new subscribers"... for a fucking subscription service... will be over. idiots... or as we call that... nuts. |

I've been reading conflicting reports over the last week, and I am concerned about the sanity of the Moonlight fans at the site above.
I hate to use a pun in such dire circumstances, but did DirecTV bite? |

I know what you mean. As much as I loved Moonlight, I've accepted the fact that it's over. But some of those fans over there just won't give up. I think DirecTV lost interest or maybe the poll was fake. |
